I was at that dinner in the marque after the last game at the Dell. I met Mick had my photo taken with him which still holds a pride of place in my house. Mick was a true legend and gent who enjoyed his football, I hold all that has been said here already . Great memories include trying to get into the dell as Mick was knocking in the goals against WBA in the cup replay in 76, his demolition against Pompey and of course the 76 Cup final. Also him and Bally and the great time they had and the great team we had on his return. Too many memories Best wishes Mick, keep that windmill arm going

I suggest we win our next 3 home games then we will be up nearer the 20,000

You seem paronoid about our club get over the fact you lost go away and support your team at your next game

Wouldn't surprise me to see this deal done asap on the back of our financial results get bad news over and quickly just hope its not true but its only a matter of time

Biggest laugh them treating us as their local 'rivals' what a load of t...s! They wish! Think Swindon are a little closer

Missed Reading game as already had weekend planned in East Anglia, went to Portman Road with an Ipswich fan. Powell was utter ****e, 2nd goal absolute joke as was Ipswich first goal. Derby were so poor, Ipswich Ok and well organised also dont believe been to a Champioship match ever which was so quiet, loadest shout from me hearing the Saints result!!

No Plymouth do not see us as rivals Pompey are their traditional rivals due to the Navy connections

Steve Mills of course!

Why Svenson playing thought it would make sense to rest him for saturday otherwise he could be out for another 4 weeks

Shilts no 1 Though Flowers, Niemi, Martin and Turner hold special memories

In the warm up he always showed off his ball juggling skills to the fans at the Milton road end. He was a great 'showman' but as already said played his best football before he arrived here. Played for quite a few clubs but remembered for that goal playing for Bolton and also his time at Birmingham

Joseph Mills had a 'torrid afternoon' not a good sign, but otherwise a good report for us.

Thats what we said the last time we went down

Before the league cup final in 79 'When you walk down wembley way you will hear the saints fans say who are we going to stuff, its forest and brian clough' Oh yes we lost!

'We hate Nottingham Forest we hate Chelsea too , we hate West Bromich Albion but Southampton we love you! 'You're Going home in a Hampshire Ambulance' Let him let him die let him die' ( when an opposing palyer went down injured) Matt Busbt said to Bill Shankley have you heard of the North Bank Highbury no said Bill i dont think so but I've heard of Southampton aggro!

You'll never win anything with kids! Think JP can now see this

Thought this was a saints forum not arse! if you're that interested in Arsenal go onto their website

Think we should look at who was not playing Thomas Perry even Skacel, kids are not the answer. These are all players paid by SFC and are dragging us down by not playing. JP is not the answer but if his hands are tied by RL we have no chance

Think he might sort our defence out, get him in good shout

Had a gutfull left at 80 mins 10 mins more than |i thought I would at half time, supported the club for nearly 40 years but my soul has had enough. Thank god I can go back to the pub with a few pals to at least know the misery is not just my own. I will be back for Bristol but not without about 5 beers in me. Whats to look forward too not strictly come dancing and X factor for sure

Footie fans don't like Cole he is everything that is wrong with football today he is arrogant, overpaid, acts like a total w...er, did the dirty on his missus and lords it like he is someone special. Sorry booing is not the answer but he is so far remote from the true fan that maybe he should look at himself now and again and then maybe he may see why nobody likes him apart from a few Chelsea fans

BWP case dismissed by police, not enough evidence, sky sports announce

Thought Dyer was our best player 2nd half apart from davis, stange way some people see the game

For the amount of time Micky was with us , he was superb, still remember those 2 goals at Forest when everybody including me throught we were for the chop. Greatest signing ever probably not but great sideburns

Wasnt convinced with Corks heading ability think he's better as a full back
