  1. The Luton short pattern offers a more subtle alternative.
  2. Right, that's the 14/15 home kit sorted. I'm off down the pub.....
  3. I actually quite like that. Certainly seems far more 'Sotonian' then our last two year's designs.
  4. As stated above though there are a lot of overpriced foreign players in the top two divisions too. Could this actually be a reflection of our own coaching practices in this country that there are not more high standard young players coming through our bigger clubs rather then it being a symptom of an invasion of foreigners? It clearly is not an accident that we succeed in bringing through talent better then seemingly bigger clubs... Chelsea rejected Shaw for heaven's sake for being too small. Some of the attitudes here are still in the dark ages.
  5. But equally a lot of british talent has been stiffled by being purchased by the top clubs and then stockpiled. Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell, Scott Parker (when he went to Chelsea, pointless), Wilfried Zaha potentially too. There are pro's and cons to moving to a more successful club... to assume it will automatically benefit the national team is extremely blinkered and rather arrogant.
  6. That would do very nicely. Always liked that kit, extremely distinctive.

    Back three?

I could only see this being Yoshida, Lovren, Fonte with a combination of Chambers/Clyne at RWB and Shaw at LWB. Wanyama and Morgan shielding the back four and providing an outlet. Using our current squad. -------------------- Rodriguez --------------------- Lallana ------------------------------------ Ramirez ------------ Wanyama ----- Schneiderlin ----------- Shaw --------------------------------- Chambers/Clyne -------- Fonte ------ Lovren ----- Yoshida ----------- --------------------- Boruc -------------------------- Subs: K Davis, Targett, Hooiveld, Ward-Prowse, S. Davis, Gallagher, Cork. We really need some new blood.
  8. I only need 2 more! They are: Andres Iniesta, 119 and Ivan Franjic, 171. Can anyone help?
  9. Will never forget that, was absolutely astonishing. Couldn't help but applaud. He will never hit one that good again for the rest of his career.
  10. Any questions mate do let me know. I still live in the city (hopefully not for much longer though, solicitors permitting) so would be happy to help.
  11. I attended Coventry University, Studied Automotive Engineering Design between 2002-06. The Campus is bang on city central with it's main admin building just opposite the cathedral steps, a mixture of old Polytechnic and modern university buildings. Personally I had a great time there and found Coventry to be an interesting, friendly... if not exactly pretty place to be. The City centre is almost entirely contained within the inner ring road, you simply cannot get lost. The specialty of the University is it's Engineering Department with a very good Nursing school too. As for Criminology/Law.... yes they do them but if the reputation of the course is a key factor I would look elsewhere.

"When did you last attend a football game at your clubs stadium." Despite being a season ticket holder, surely the time of year will horribly skew that question.
  13. Indeed, thankfully it was Mr J G Key who used 'your' incorrectly.
  14. They are Legion.
  15. Which contradicts a post from earlier which said that Ronald flew in today.
  16. That's probably the biggest case of 'Putting it mildly' I've ever come across!
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27859958 An updated BBC reported. He's 'poised.'
  18. I read that as he trained the players too hard, leaving them tired for their first three games of the season, which they lost.
  19. For that reason, i'm in......
  20. Considering Citeh took Sturridge from Coventry when he was a teenager we can have all of the above.
  21. How did you feel about a man who had been sacked by Espanyol at the foot of La Liga?
  22. Remind me, how many of the Dutch team did Koeman coach at Feyenoord?
  23. Say what?
  24. These guys may have a few ideas. http://www.419eater.com/
  25. Considering how our last three managers came out of their spells with us in a far stronger position then when they entered. No.
