  1. Leaving Southampton or a Tatoo? Just get a subtle Football with the Halo upon it on somewhere reasonably hidden.... a shoulder blade for instance.
  2. He was horribly underused for us. Was at least as good as some of the sh*te that played duing his time here and at least showed some desire when in the team. Oh, and cue the obligatory picture of his better half............
  3. That is ever so slightly tight..... ....Did they relent?
  4. In chronological order (From 1984 on): 1) The Chernobyl Disaster 2) The Fall of The Soviet Union (I'm not going to say Communism, there's still plenty of it out there.) 3) The end of Apartheid 4) The Yugoslav civil wars 5) 9/11 and the subsequent invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.... and: 6) The Tamil Massacre at the end of the Sri Lankan civil war.... Almost ignored by the world's media but utterly horrific. I would also hope that the end of dictatorships in North Africa/The Middle East (E.g. Egypt, Libya, Syria and Bahrain) and the rise of Moderate Democratic Islam in those nations will soon be something to add.
  5. But it's a wednesday.....
  6. ....No, not Blackpool, but Phil Brown's Preston in the next round of the league cup. Winable, would be nice to get some premiership opposition in the round after.
  7. "Henri Camara will make all the difference." Well, he nearly did. And after seeing us narrowly lose v Birmingham at the start of the Poortvliet 'era.' "Based on that, we'll be alright!" The more you think about this, the more you remember being wrong.
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-14894576 I am astounded by this. Yes, the guy is a scumbag but now we have reached the point where mallicious trolling is now a jailable offence. I had no idea that 'indecent or offensive' communication could carry such a penalty!
  9. If you want a Wetherspoons I would recommend 'The Flying Standard' over 'The Earl or Mercia.' It is closer to the bus station/taxi ranks then The Earl and offers a better range of drinks and more standing room/seating options. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=the+flying+standard&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=the+flying+standard&hnear=0x4870b151656e22b7:0x4f660f5564f0689,Coventry&cid=0,0,3148801301208549147&ei=T0lvTsztAsjDhAfuw6nHCQ&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&ved=0CAQQ_BI
  10. June 2006. Me: "Fantastic! We won't be hearing from that Rupert Lowe again!" Fool.
  11. Me confidently declaring that Neil McCann was the final 'piece in the puzzle.' Oh lord.
  12. Alan Carr - Utterly unwatchable Graham Norton - Not funny Michael Macintyre - Again, not at all funny. Loud doesn't equal funny. Anthea Turner - Smug bint Simon Cowell - Surely no explaination required
  13. Makes sense for us to be linked with a few centre backs, especially ones like Cranie. If the offer is right I can't see Cov refusing, they desperately need funds after all..... just hope we havn't fallen out totally after all that Elliot Ward business.
  14. Super-dupa sounds good. Nice one!! Bring on the kids who 'know better.'
  15. In the program Jonno Quick named Hammond as the clubs 'best trainer.' He has certainly put the effort in to step up, all credit to him. He was one of the key men who stood up to be counted at the back end of last season and he has carried that through to this, hope his form continues.
  16. One hell of a game that. An absolute rollercoaster, thank heavens we came out the right end of it, no need to analyse right now, just savour the feeling of a win v a very able Forest side, Schteve will see them right.
  17. I do actually feel for them.

    Jos the Boss

Hooiveld looked no worse then Seaborne. Decently mobile, ok in the air, a little uncertain when under physical pressure but vvery decent. More importantly though I feel he has room to improve further... which is just as well as he needs to read runners in at the back post better. An ok start for him.
  19. A fascinating read. Thankyou.
  20. At an intro party at the uni radio station I used to be a part of: Fresher: "So, because you're on the radio do people recognise you when you're walking around campus?' He was actually being serious.
  21. Ray Davies. Great frontman, awful singer. All is however forgiven for Waterloo Sunset.
  22. Set aside a tenner to be safe. There are buses from Pool meadow station to the ground that are a bit more reasonable.
  23. Best thing to do, find a pub in Longford called 'JK English.' It is a pub and curry house, is relaxed and about ten minutes walk from the town, or park in Exhall/Bedworth and go to one of the pubs there. No point really in trying the city centre.... it's just too far.
  24. So many games over the years, but on the recent iteration having a go with Truro City has been a lot of fun. On taking charge (in the year 2045.... yes, that's how far into the 'career' I am now) they had never finished above 24th in the Conference South.... And had played at that level three times. Now in my tenth season in charge they are in the Premier League having survived their first season the year before with a 14th place finish. The highlight of it though, getting out of League 1 with the smallest wage budget in the football league.
  25. You have no use for it even when it's free!? Fair enough. Do you have a ball park figure you'ld want for it?
