  1. Get the feeling with Pied, had he not been injured after arriving he would have done a good job. Against Palace, he may have looked like he was blowing after 20 minutes, but he still looked reasonable.

    Daniel Fox

Would take Fox over Olivier Bernard any day of the week. Just checked, and Bernard is still only 38!!
  3. Christ, I'd forgotten how this feels.
  4. That didn't take long.
  5. Thankyou Mauricio for making me realise that our last four seasons before this one truly deserved to be savoured. Thanks to you it will never be that good again.
  6. Pathetic.
  7. Gabbi for Long please. Or Lemina for Davis.
  8. COME ON SAINTS!!!!
  9. Repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome. We are run by madmen.
  10. Well. At least we are doing away with the false hope today. That's different.
  11. Can we just get the process of take lead, sit back then concede, over already?
  12. With him confirmed as playing, that surely must be that.
  13. Would not surprise me at all.
  14. I believe they can, the transfer window managers incoming transfers.
  15. Anyone care for a 'Time of Promes' unveiling' sweepstake? I'm going for 9am tomorrow.....
  16. The manager is not learning. Victory despite his best efforts.
  17. Watching at home. Tense beyond all sense and reason. Thinking we had done just about enough to hold on only for Sims and Long to send me into Orbit. The noise must have been heard for miles..... Mind you, I think I heard a house just across the road also screaming in delight. At work the next day I couldn't stop smiling, knowing we had a cup final to look forward to in the very same season we had already been to the San Siro!
  18. If we are keeping our manager, then it makes sense to give him the players he wants to fit how he wants to play. A constant cycle of hire and fire only leaves squads bloated and unfit for purpose. So, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Good luck to Carrillo.
  19. If we beat Brighton.... Spurs were below their usual level today, we couldn't raise ourselves to make the most of it and showed no improvement over our already known weaknesses. (Defensive assertiveness and forward threat, Spurs scored for us......) Wish I had your optimism but I cannot see us getting out of this hole.
  20. I understand your reasoning, but we are getting to a point of absolutely needing to make the most of opportunities like today. Time is slipping away, and so are the chances to earn another season at this level. The point was not good enough.
  21. A draw was fair, but that was an extremely unsatisfying result. Clear missed chances again, coupled with Spurs also lacking a ruthless streak. A good result on the face of it with a reasonable showing going forward but it provided further emphasis of our existing weakness, which are not being dealt with. Pochettino said after the game that our position in the bottom three was a temporary state of affairs. No, we are there by right.
  22. Yes, bring him in.
  23. Shades of Andy Reid in Jan 2005.
  24. Halcyon days.
  25. Hojbjerg. The only player to improve under the current idiot/manager.
