Happy to grasp anything right now. But, the performances from the team tell me we are only heading in one direction.

This. Spare me.

When thinking of the class of 2005 I feel nostalgic. Our current bunch make it very easy to do. That season we beat Liverpool and Spurs at home, the Skates twice at home. Had a reasonable cup run, played some decent attacking football at times and had Peter Crouch and Camara. This season we have.................... Erm............. Djenepo, Boufal and a win against a laughable bunch in League 1 who are meant to be our main rival. The crushing lows from 04/05 against Everton and Boro at home, Spurs and the Skates away have been blown out of the water by that game v Leicester. 2019/20 makes 04/05 look good.

Immediate future- where does this leave us?

Things I take solace from: 1. We have more points then at this stage last year. 2. Our away form is ok. 3. In theory, our squad is stronger then this time last year.... In theory. 4. Moussa Djenepo -
Wasn't bad. To think, they were thrashed by a team who have a record top flight defeat.

Yes, Ralph out. Everybody out.

The perfect ending to a wonderful evening.

Sure, why not. That's how disaffected I am.

Well, if we are going to lose at least do it properly. Yeah, I have no idea...... But I'm choosing laughter over tears. And so are the remaining Saints. "Manchester City... We're coming for you!!!"

Oh look, late winner for AFC Wimbledon.
-
Or do they?

Going to say it: Would be happy with the point. (I'm sorry)

Frankly, considering location and the relative wealth of the area it's amazing that we have been the only club to have this infrastructure on the South coast for so long. A massive population and catchment area with great potential, it puts the folly of the Skates position into even greater focus seeing how they squandered their great opportunity to consolidate 10-12 years ago. Both Bournemouth and Brighton have built very astutely. In Bournemouth's case, why build a new stadium when the main money is from TV, Sponsorship and player sales? Maximising their academy and fundamental infrastructure is far more sensible then the tens of millions it would take to add 10-15k capacity to their home ground. The Stadium would bring some extra income but compared to the previously mentioned three factors it clearly isn't an immediate priority.

Obafemi would enjoy this game I feel.

Excellent.

Gunn should have done better there. Either way shouldn't have had that much space on the edge of the box.
-
Vestergaard starts after all.
-
Looked bereft of confidence. Reminded me of Jay-Rod when he first joined, it didn't click for him until he scored v Spurs.

Kenny Jacket's reaction to this will really p*ss the blue few off. Beautiful. To paraphrase: 'We can learn from them.'

Bragging rights secured for the generation.... WHO THE F**K IS LAUGHING NOW!!!!!

With new exhaust technologies Diesel has a lot more mileage yet. It's just fallen out of vogue as a scapegoat. I personally have much more faith that a conventional diesel engine which can effectively run on plant based oils and be recycled without issue has a lower total life cost then an electric car which needs to consume rare earth elements and several battery changes to equal the lifespan. It was very curious how the ELV (End of Life Vehicle) regualtions stating that a certain amount of a car needs to be recyclable quietly vanished as soon as Hybrids and Electrical Vehicles became the fashion.

I want to give credit at least two players. Boufal is a man reborn, work-rate of a player unbecoming of this defense fearless when taking on and totally committed to winning things back. Romeu also did his shift superbly, he is not in there to score or be the last line... Frankly, he should not have been given responsibility to mark their best threat from a set piece, he is there to break things up and he did that. The team around them however?
-
I'm going on instinct rather then logic here. But, I firmly believe we are better then: Villa, Norwich, Sheff Utd, Watford, Newcastle. I think we will be ok. Just, ok. But, I want to see the major flaws in us addressed. Static defending and an unclinical shame that has cursed us since Koeman left.
-
Infuriating. There are clear and repeated flaws in how we perform. I don't believe we are in danger this season, but my goodness, there is such scope for improvement and for the first time Ralph must answer some difficult questions.

Actually funny. Work to do Ralph......
