  1. I was originally going to say what does a woman know about football, but having seen that she is a Saints Fan, I realise she has good taste and upbringing!! No doubt my optimism will be shot down in flames later tonight, but I also had a vision of 3-0 to us earlier today. Who knows, it can't be often that WBA go into a match being nailed on favourites, they might not be quite as focused as usual... straw clutching ahoy!! If Ramirez is fully fit we may just have enough about us to pull it off. I bloody well hope so, out drinking and watching it till 2 am at The Barasti beach bar in balmy mid 20's temps is tough work you know!!!
  2. Out of The FA Cup at the 1st Hurdle - bang goes any hope of a Big Money Earning Cup Run then. What a shame.
  3. A 5-0 win to WBA would put them in 4th place :spaz:
  4. please tell me this is a wind up.
  5. Go plan - don't disclose the venue in case any of the wifey's get wind of it and discover it's actually a knocking shop LOL!!
  6. Maybe we could outbid Skatesmuff in a 1 month contract, and hopefully get some points on the board.
  7. Was it on TV before going to matches? The Dr Who Theme tune takes me back to eating Bacon Egg Beans and Chips on my lap watching Dr Who do battle with The Daleks about 6pm just back from the game at my Grandads house circa late 60's early 70's.
  8. it's when 1 into 1 equals less than 16 it becomes a problem
  9. Really bizarre one - Puppet On A String, Sandie Shaw. When I was a mere ankle biter being taken along to The Dell - the music for pre match mid week night games seemed so much louder than daylight Saturday games - and they seemed to play The Euro Vision Songs each year, Patriotism? Two others from the same era that got a lot of pre match play and take me back were Those were the Days by Mary Hopkins and Bits and Pieces by Dave Clark Five. Finally not so much SFC, but more MLT - Unbelievable by EMF as in his DVD - now thats what I call music!!
  10. But for the steady flow of income from our academy players we would be dead and buried by now. Every little bit helped keep the club alive. Besides Bridgey, Bale, Oxo & Theo, smaller, but so important fees for the likes of Best, Blackstock, McGodrick & Surman ensured our survival. Hopefully we are now in a position to keep any further upcoming youngsters, or at least dictate terms to our liking (as per Oxo) rather than panic sale for cash. Selling our academy to promising youngsters shouldn't be a problem with our track record of producing and giving opportunities to young talent - and with moves towards more home grown players being a requirement - keeping them becomes even more important. I do take pride in seeing ex players (not just youth) scoring or playing well - just so long as it isn't against us - and even better when i's against skatesmuff and they ram the scummah chants down their throats!! Theo, Oxo and even Crouchy makes watching England bearable. Seeing Lalana and Ward Prowse in the next World Cup would be even better!!
  11. I have not been impressed by Punch at all this season. Flatters to deceive. Behind Mayuka, Lee and Guly in my mind.
  12. Only Man City have more Home points this season. Only ponts dropped at home were to Man City who scored in 80th and injury time (sound familiar?), 4 straight away defeats at an average of 4-1 per game for us ............ and it's on Sky - what could possibly go wrong?
  13. Pity Jos wasn't as bad as that with his og's !!!!
  14. Nora Batty is scarier than any of our powderpuff midfielders
  15. For Prem matches yes - but Noddy Cup Comps are a bit different.
  16. Fantastic tune .... love and peace, anti racism vibe and dancing girls - what's not to like!! Possibly viewed as NSFW ish by some.
  17. LOLZ .... you are morphing back into Monty Brogan (or was that Ess?).
  18. The Powderpuffed, PonyTailed ponce went down like a sack of Sh!t everytime he was challenged and cried like a girl to ther ref non stop. Feck me he even went down after a challenge from Lallana. Annoyingly the 1st goal and the lead up to the peno came from free kicks won by his appealing for free kicks in 50/50 challenges. Pity SRL has had similar protection from refs over the years.
  19. Hope they aren't relying on Arsene Wenger as a witness - he never sees any incident from the touchline.
  20. If we could name a Full Strength side I'd fancy our chances. Haven't really been taking any notice of WHU's form so far but see they steam rollered Fulham earlier but haven't played anybody of note except Arsenal which they lost. I think we can expect a bit of a aeriel and physical battering - they have conceded most fouls and have most bookings. Worrying Cole has completed least successful passes in Prem League so should be nailed on for a hatrick today then!! COYS
  21. But he always scores against WHU!!
  22. Brian O'Neil back in the 70's. Most of his tackles were two footed and normally about shin height
  23. .... yes, but the family in question was probably The Kray family!!
  24. Maybe he was also misquoted and meant to say Rangers would rather play Arsenal, Villa, Swansea and Southampton each week rather than the shyte that they can't beat week in week out. They lived outside of their means and cheated - they are now quite rightly paying the price - yet seem to think they should get automatic upgrade to the first class carriage of footballs biggest gravy train because they have big crowds and history behind them. Now is now - then was then. To single out individual clubs who have worked hard and fairly to be where they are shows a distinct lack of class and a huge chip on his shoulder. Maybe they can team up with England's biggest and bestest (at cheating) and start their own Super Conference League.
