I have planned my next leave to be back at end of Jan and will hopefully be able to beg borrow or steal a ticket for the Man U game and will defo be at the Wigan game - a 20 minute bus journey from my home in Leigh. It better not be bloody snowing/icey/flooding causing postponements that week !!

Major cock up by Branfart in getting rid of him as his first decision on arriving at The Dell. Never won back the supporters, and lost just about everybody else with his style of play. Obviously knew that Jimbo would not have put up with it quietly. As said above, another wily old head in midfield, Alan Ball was another snip and so instumental in taking the club forward and back into The Top League in his 1st full season.

DOH!!! I hate stats like that. I would have been at that game as an ankle biter, but can't for the life of me remember anything about it!! Also can't find any pics, but as mentioned about away kits being worn at home, we did wear away kit 2 tone Kevin Keegan Blue at home to Sporting Lisbon 81 and Hamburg 84. Glad you mentioned that part, this isn't just an image boosting 5 minute pressing the palms photo shoot, and as mentioned in the interviews most of the players have families of their own and moments like this makes the rest of us realise how lucky we are if our kids are ok, and it certainly tugged at my heart strings seeing those kids in hospital, I'm sure the players felt the same. As for the Pompey Fan ... hope he wasn't during charity work through the Official PFC network I would happily donate if it is a genuine nothing to do with PFC at all bonafide charity.
