"Forecast is tipped as a potential future England keeper " One of the worst forecasts i've seen in a while.....
-
To be fair we can't expect much more then goals from League 1/2 matches. Would have been nice to see Schneiderlin's effort again. I guess it would have been good for more of the Championship matches to have live commentary as opposed to voice over's though.

Who the fook is Alfie Potter?!?!
-
Odd how he couldn't get a work permit. Would it not be worth appealing? Bugger!

Great article in The Times about the fish fiddlers

Interesting article, my heart's bleeding for them! -
You'd presume (hope!) that Pardew has the sense to know both tese two plus Stern John may well be off, so has some targets lined up to fill the void. If all 3 go (which is a strong possibility) then I think we'll certainly need 2 new strikers in to replace them, plus sniff around the loan market aswell. Think Paterson will do a decent job for us this season though.

Gutting if true, especially if he's coming out of retierment just to be their #2!
-
Surely it'd be nice to see the goals?
-
6 foot 4", believe he was (may even still be) Tunisia captain, seems like the type of player we need. 33 isn't young, but if partnered with a younger CB then should be ideal.
-
I know he's already been mentioned on here, but there's talk today of Sheff Utd's Billy Sharp going to Notts County - surely if they can attract him then we can! Another previously discussed player is Rahdi Jaidi going to Charlton, again it should be possible to aatract a player of his calibre to SMS. Shall see what happens, it is Friday afterall....

Could be something in the Leon Mackenzie swap deal, but with Euell going to Blackpool as opposed to Saga (although I guess this wouldn't be a straight swap as such as Euell is out of contract).
-
Vaguely interesting to see Salisbury are giving a trial to Ronan Marsh-Brown, the full back we had on trial in the 2nd half of last season. Perhaps can see what we (haven't) missed out on tonight!

How long ago was the Newcastle game though? Gotta be coming on for 3-4 years now. My point being, in any other line of work, how well you did 4 years ago (especially as it was just a handful of matches) wouldn't warrant such praise in the present day. He's had further chanes and not taken them, and if he's not confident in a friendly at Bmouth/league cup games at Rotherham, then when will he be confident?

I'd get rid of Bart and loan Forecast out to get a bit of experience, would be happy having Poke on the bench after he seemingly did well at Torquay last season.
-
He has a few links to Stoke - has been good friends for a few years with Pulis' daughter so Tony Pulis has always been very aware of his ability and development. Would have thought we may be able to push for a 7 figure sum though.

Anybody wondering what constitutes a 'young adult' or what student ticket offers are available - I emailed David Luker earlier, and a young adult is 17-21 years old.

Still taking bets on Strachan, Dowie and D Ferguson to be the new Newcastle manager...so if anything has happened behind the scenes, its not likely to be involving them.
-
Interesting to note that despite The People claiming Jimmy Flloyd is a 'shock contender', he's not even listed on skybet or any other outlets!

Why do people seem to be ignoring this?! ALL Football League highlihts, i.e from Championship through to League 2, will be shown online. I'm presuming most people on this internet forum have internet access....

Hodgkiss is an attacking right back, I guess in the mould of James but with a more defensive upbringing. Could be an option if James is moved to right mid as suggested by many on here.
-
West Brom have released Pele, Jared Hodgkiss and Carl Hoefkens....all 3 could probably get a decent CCC club, but could deffo DAJFU.
-
After not scoring for them all season - please God no!

Agree with your sentiments that he got lobbed too many times (Forest home and away I think(?) as examples) but surely we'd be a much better team with then without him?! If true with the new contract then great news...although I fear a similar scenario as with Dyer last season, i.e. only giving him a new contract to get a transfer fee for him. Hope i'm wrong!
