This reinforces our massive need for more back up in the centre of midfield, without the maestro Pulis we're worryingly lacking quality in the middle.

I imagine it'll be due to the fact that he has to start pre-season again from scratch, hence the 3 months, but could be shorter if his fitness levels are better than expected. It does seem odd that they have to quote that he'll almost certainly miss the first game of the season. I guess this is the type of scenario where Reserve team footie is an advantage to get him back to fitness, I'd presume some behind closed doors friendlies would now be arranged instead when the time comes.

Saw him in the League Cup Semi finals vs United, seemed a bit clumsy and short of confidence, but I guess he must have something for Mancini to plunge him straight into the 1st team (admittedly due to injuries).
