I thought he was good yesterday in a difficult game for us..showed passion and commitment to the cause.

TBF his expectations were rising so he was probably expecting a significant pay rise but at a new club next summer, as he was already planning his next move when his contract finished. Perhaps our offer was more than his current contract but not in line with his expectation? Don't forget he was being linked with jobs like Arsenal so to commit to us he would be expecting a lot, and TBF he was right as he got that sort of money at Everton. I don't hold him responsible and I don't think the club are responsible. It was a natural point where he had outgrown us , in his opinion, as his stock was high and he was plotting his next contract as he was abou to enter he last year of his current one. I really believe he would have stayed and seen out his contract but it wasn't a position that the club would entertain so he had to go. Can't understand the animosity towards him. As always he seems to be telling the truth from his perspective and his story has been consistent!

That's not why they are hated..

Buying a PL team would Not really follow the pattern they have done before...they are more likely to purchase a lower league club and invest in young hungry players to take them up the league than buy an established PL team and invest in huge signings.

We have only ever won one cup... So did all the previous boards care only about money?

We would have to change the system for that to work IMO.

Crikey what sort of fishing is that? I assume sea fishing given the size of the hook, and a lot of that isn't catch and release due to the capture methods and that a lot of fish are good eating. No reason for it to be barbaric though..knock the fish on the head rather than tear its guts out! I have coarse, fly and sea fished and I don't relate my experiences to yours at all! Catching for the pot is all part of hunting/fishing. coarse fishing is borderline I suppose as its basically for sport but the fish are looked after (as best they can be when caught with a hook etc) they are protected from predators in some cases and some anglers even take medical kits to treat the hook hole and any wounds the caught fish already has. It's quite contradictory when you think about catching a fish and then looking after its welfare though! Back on topic...hunting isn't my thing and if UA have dropped sponsorship for people breaking the ethics of the company (whatever they decide they are) I suppose they are doing what they can..it's a wider piece to change Nprth american attitudes to hunting but people making their views heard either via Twitter etc will mould help those values of the company IMO.

Today showed what hundreds of millions of pounds gets you... Chelsea pay their players infinitely more than we could ever dream of and yet I still thought we were OK. That goal after 5 minutes was a real blow and we had a go at them after that in the first half really well without threatening their goal. Nice to see a few of our players sticking a shoulder in..in past years Chelsea have bullied us terribly. Two quality players scored two good goals and we , like a number of teams recently, could not find a way past a resolute 3 ATB (in the first half it was more like 5 as the wing backs did more defending than attacking). Chelsea often seem to be at their best when they meet us at our place... Never mind at least we can now look forward to a European tie whilst they get to watch all the other London clubs play in the champions league!

There are some creative guys out there but they seem to give up with the new songs too quickly..as soon as you get to hear them ( and start to learn them) they die out..come on guys have confidence in them...keep singing them, it takes a while for them to get known... stick at it and we will join in...eventually!!!

How would they ever know? Having installed an auto ticket system so entry can be gained without the need for a person manning the entry point, does anyone really think they will ever put a person back on the gate to check ID against the ticket name? A quick security check for the randomly chosen is one thing but to check every ticket holders ID? Not only would it be impractical, but it would mean long long queues to get in. I am sure in the OP story he was not caught because of an ID check at the gate, probably caught selling it on social media or something. Actually just looked at the article the letter says he was banned for not collecting the ticket.... Did he send someone else to collect it, who had to show ID and was refused then?

When you look at his past record , he has always improved the clubs he was at and his teams played good football. I had no doubt he would do a good job. Whether he can cut it against the superstar managers with unlimited budgets we will have to wait and see!

Actually without selling Shaw lallana lovren etc we Could never afford to have bought all of Tadic/Mane/Pelle/Long/Forster so there is no real situation where we could have ended up with that squad/team.

If that is true why are there millions of people of all races that are rubbish at the stuff their race is supposed to be good at? Within every race there is a full range of differing abilities at everything. Wether there is a greater likelihood of an individual of a certain race being better at something than an individual of another race has never been proven to my knowledge. However the fact is I know there are people of every race who are better at any given sport than a lot of individuals from the race who is supposed to be better at that sport! To stereotype a whole race of people as good at one thing or poor at another is surely exactly what being racist is? So back to the point in hand..to sensationalise something like this into perceived racism is just ridiculous... I am sure Saints couldn't care what race the person is as long as they are good enough and to suggest,for example, that they only go to watch people of a certain race for certain positions is just bizarre!

I disagree. We had them under contract already and could have easily have waited until the last two years of their contract before negotiating again and saved a few quid. We did that with regularity before this season. We wouldn't need to sell to lower sides at all..especially as we already paid better wages than a lot of them.

I agree we will be fine - however the counter to your away argument is that we have played probably one of the three worst teams in the league (actually on current form the worst) and a lower mid table team (at best) at home without looking like winning. We should beat Swansea at home though so things might settle down then.

Don't forget you can't keep an unhappy striker who wants to leave though as he just won't play for you and will cause unrest in the camp. Lol. Never mind, our current manager IS good but we have been spoiled with two high quality managers in quick succession..we just need to give him time and see how it pans out.

I assumed it was to issue longer contracts than was previous policy, including offering new contracts to those who were only a year or two into existing ones. (as long as we had seen them already adding value) as opposed to the previous policy of wait until the last couple of years of the current contract to renegotiate where, inevitably, we ended up in a weak position and then had to sell.

TBF he was around for quite a few of them games. I thought OR looked better on Saturday maybe it was having Clasie in midfield, or just that we are coming to terms with the system. Three penalties in 4 games hasn't helped though... We don't look like scoring a hatful like say, a Liverpool do, so we do look like we need to get a clean sheet somehow!

At least there can be rerospective action as no one saw it! LOL

That's funny as normally your memory is not great if you are asked to prove things.... Oh....... update you couldn't prove it! Lol you do make yourself look an extremely sad individual on a regular basis! Poor baby!
