Highly amused by the Cheats fan on Twitter earlier today asking Agent Al Fahim if he could (quote) "help get Pompey back-to-back promotions like the Scummers got", to which Agent Al-Fahim replied "What are back-to-back promotions?" Genius.

I have to say that Souness is also very good indeed when SKY have him on as a pundit. Interesting also to compare Jamie Redknapp (who is quite a decent pundit) with his father, who was predictably a heap of shooiitte on MOTD on Saturday night.

A bit of Googling this morning leads me to think there may be the possibility of a live stream of the game on the Net.

Very funny.

Ince probably is the better player, but if he's anything like as disloyal as his father, he wouldn't be with us for long.

I can't wait for us to get relegated.

Are you lot going to be coming out of this stuff when we're in the, erm......, Champions League? -
Is It The Southampton Way or the highway For Nigel Adkins?

I thought Adam Blackmore was from the Midlands. He's an excellent broadcaster in my opinion, talks a lot of sense and also seems to be able to get inside info from very high up within the club. He seems to be one of the very few people who Cortese will talk to. -
The loan is supposedly to fund new signings. It is a bit odd; the other shareholder (the Russian chap) is seriously minted, so not sure why they needed the loan.

Most schools broke up two and a half weeks ago. I know we live in a digital age with smartphones etc., but I doubt Cortese would sanction any deal to sign a player without being in the country to approve the terms and necessary paperwork etc. -
Must admit, old bean, that does seem a bit harsh on Richardson. I think my mind was made up on De Ridder in the last 30 seconds of the 2-2 home draw with Blackpool when he didn't play the ball across.

Just checked. Looks like I wasn't completely wrong (warning, some people may find this link incredibly dull......) http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/vatfinmanual/vatfin2320.htm

I might be wrong about this, but I have a feeling that the clubs make more profit out of charging it as a ticket tax rather than adding it to the face value of the ticket price, as the ticket tax is possibly exempt from VAT, meaning that the clubs don't have to pay 20/120 of its proceeds from ticket tax over to HMRC in VAT. Apologies if this is incorrect, probably should have checked on the HMRC website first.

Genius. The tackle by Massing is possibly the funniest foul of all-time. Made even better by the look of innocence immediately afterwards. Thanks for that Scott.

One of my favourite ever World Cup moments. Never fails to make me laugh. -

Inzaghi is the scorer of one of my all-time favourite goals. Watch from 8:30 onwards to see distraught Cheats FC fans. S****** s******....... -
What a Mickey Mouse club they are then......

West Ham away in 1998. We won 4-2. Not sure what was more difficult; applauding West Ham's goals or keeping quiet when we scored. Think our cover was almost blown when my mate got up and screamed "Come on, West Ham, this is f**king s**t!!!" as we scored the 4th. Whilst laughing.

He never would have got in the Saints side ahead of the likes of Trigger Dryden anyway....

I would imagine that QPR would offer double the wages that we would, when you consider the wages the likes of Robert Green and Barton are on there. I'd expect him to sign for QPR if they have agreed a fee with Vitesse.

You could see that Hodgson was in a difficult situation, particularly given that the FA had pushed the boat out to get Rooney's initial ban reduced from 3 games to 2 after he got crazily sent off against Montenegro. Supposedly having got some all-important game time against Ukraine, he'd then be on storming form for the quarter-final........ To be fair, Rooney did take a cracking penalty in the penalty shoot-out. Though he admittedly did little else that night.

I think I would have preferred it if we had signed Danny Guthrie.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Cortese insists that potential new signings do not fly in to Southampton Airport, on the basis that it makes it a lot less likely to be news, what with all the spies there are who are straight on here with exclusives. I dare say that Chilworth Manor is now also on the list of places not to be used.

You've been drinking haven't you, sir?

I actually half-hoped Young would miss as he ran up to take his penalty. And I used to follow England home and away 10 years or so ago.
