Pretty impressive forward line of Vardy, Iheanacho, Perez, Edouard and Daka...especially given they're not in champions league...
-
Badly managed when he arrived, and clearly a bad fit mentally, a talented player on his day, but not a good fit for the premier league. Shame he was an utter bellend, glad to get rid of him. If we have let him go for free, but got his £75k wages off the books then happy days. In reality he’s probably gone for free and we are still contributing to his wages…

Not sure what you’ve got against JWP, he’s a fantastic midfielder, and would walk into a lot of teams in this league
-
Given championship players and average prem players are linked with £40m moves, I’d expect JWP being a key player and captain, on a long contract and coming into his prime and a club that doesn’t want to sell…it would have to be silly money. Also, just because a player is “worth” x doesn’t mean that’s what you sell them for…

Maddison being linked with £80m move to Arsenal this morning.

Italy I think are the best unit I’ve seen, the way they break together, press without the ball, work had and create chances is impressive. Could win it for sure

Fair enough, clearly not good enough to be playing for us. Obafemi 2 years younger, better than him, and also probably won’t make it. No point him staying at Saints really. -
At least Benitez plays some dreadful football. Solid but hardly free flowing.
-
We’ll probably accept £20m
-
Given the amount of debt premier league clubs have announced for last financial year. I think there was some expectation that transfer fees will drop this summer. That doesn’t look like it is happening.
-
Arsenal have £40m bid rejected for Ben White… Good player but…lot of money for a “deflated” market
-
I’d be surprised, would cost them upwards of £60m I would think, unless he pushes for a move. Despite what people say about the market, it’s not deflated at all at the top of it. For us to sell arguably our best player, to a supposed rival, would cost them a lot IMO. I’d be shocked

Yeah, and Saturday nights too....

Think a lot with Wolves, will depend on the future of Neves, and the situation with Jiminez / new striker. If they can get Jiminez back fit, (i have no idea what his situation is) or buy a replacement for him who is decent, I think they should be comfortably ok. New manager though, who knows. Realistically, Brighton were a decent side last year, who couldnt stick it in the goal. If they sort that out, they'll finish above us. Newcastle, again who knows. Massive club, were expected to struggle last season, and finished 11th. You do always feel like they could implode at any moment though. Watford will splash the cash as they always do. Burnley are always pretty solid but Palace are a mess atm. Going to be a tough season if we aren't able to invest properly this summer. Should have enough to stay up if we keep Ings and JWP though, as long as we learn to defend this summer.
-
He won't go to Villa, I'm certain. (Not ITK)
-
Very tough start, but looking through the list, I think it's more a realisation that we're not very good, and can't compete financially with any but about 4/5 clubs. It certainly could be a long season. Would be big to get something at Everton opening day, with them having a new manager. Will be competing with Palace, Burnley, Norwich, Watford and Brentford for bottom 3 positions....think Brighton will have enough with their new £25m striker
-
West Ham away Boxing Day supposedly…
-
Thought we had a deflated market? £25m for a championship striker with 1 year on his contract? Madness.
-
Looks smart, but odd....would contact the club if you want one with a sponsor?!
-
Got a €70m release clause, and a €35m buy back option at Dortmund. Will be interesting to see his career develop. Seems to have huge potential
-
Absolutely bonkers that Adams didnt start the game.
-
What a goal though.....
-
Against the run of play, great header though.
-
Scotland started well, dont look to have much of a threat with the front 2 though. All the danger seems to be coming from Robertson / McGinn / Armstrong so far. England should beat both of these sides, and should be Czech with ease. They look really poor. Adams to come on second half and win them the game for me...
-
Apparently so, plus supposedly the 2 playing up front played really well against Czechs when they played them and beat them last time. Expect Che to come on second half.
