There is certainly a real chance of us being "cut adrift" after the next four, so it's imperative that we beat Fulham now, and nick a point or two from the other 3 games. You'd like to think everyone won't go and pick up in form over the next few weeks - Burnley seem to have sorted themselves out so don't see them being in it tbh.

Possibly a bit too early, but worth keeping an eye on fixtures. Home games in bold. Saints - 37 Points April 27 - Southampton v Bournemouth May 04 - West Ham United v Southampton May 12 - Southampton v Huddersfield Brighton - 34 Points April 27 - Brighton & Hove Albion FC v Newcastle United May 04 - Arsenal v Brighton & Hove Albion FC May 12 - Brighton & Hove Albion FC v Manchester City Cardiff - 31 Points April 27 — Fulham v Cardiff City May 4 — Cardiff City v Crystal Palace May 12 — Manchester United v Cardiff City

Looks like it's time for the "relegation price 2019" thread.

Agree - they were absolutely rubbish on Saturday, but still outwitted us. Matched us up and stopped the wide men (Valery / Bertrand) really affecting the game, and we obviously had no threat in the middle third of the pitch apart from Redmond. Even if we nick 2 draws which should have happened from those two games things would be looking a lot more rosey. We'd be sat on 26 points and them on 21, with the bottom three pretty much cut adrift. But this always seems to happen with one of the teams who looked dead certs for relegation, their form picks up and they stay up, and another drops like a stone and ends up being well amongst it, (could well be Brighton this year). There is a long way to go, but we could do with a draw or two in the next 4 with us beating Fulham. Get 4/5 points from the next 4 games and I think it's not looking too bad. -
Which would have been utterly ridiculous bearing on mind we were 16th off the back of a few decent results...

Should be playing for us IMO. McCarthy hasn't been great this season, and his kicking is not good enough.
-
TBH, I think people see him "having an attitude" because he's black - same with Redmond...that's the elephant in the room here....

An interesting read - not sure whether he's saying he's not doing enough in training to be considered, or his body just isn't ready yet...need him back though - Targett is just not good enough. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/17410761.southampton-manager-ralph-hasenhuttl-discusses-ryan-bertrand/?ref=rss

This is what was reported by The Daily Echo at the time... https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/16409919.southampton-sign-danny-ings-on-loan-from-liverpool-on-transfer-deadline-day/ Don't think it's terrible value at £16m in todays market. but seems like it's obligatory, not an option.

Yup, I'd be happy with: Augustin Adams Obafemi Gallagher

I'm certainly interested to see how Solanke gets on, he's obviously got huge potential, but may be like another Ibe. Ings is better now, but his fitness has to be a concern - It's no real surprise, but he misses too many games. Not like he just picks up 1 or two injuries a season then he's fit for 10 weeks, it seems that he cant stay fit for longer than 4/5 games max.
-
Without a doubt. Looking forward to having him back.
-
Hopefully - got a great future ahead of him.

Scored at Exeter away too...

Good read that - enjoyed it.

Unpopular opinion...I don't mind Kruger, he's a bit frustrating at times but he was never brought in to run the football side of the business. Wilson has been largely useless and not sure how he kept his job when Reed went. Think he might be on his way once we bring in a proper director of football, and he'll be replaced. We should have minimum £50m + sales to spend in the summer, excluding the Ings money.
-
If Redmond plays well we'll win, if he can't get on the ball, we won't basically as simple as that. Is Yoshida back? How bad is Ings's injury? Are Bertrand / Lemina back? Depending on the above questions I'd probably go... ----------------------Gunn------------------------------ ---------Bednarek Yoshida Vestergaard------------- JWP----------Hojbjerg--Romeu------------Bertrand ------Armstrong---------------Redmond------------- ----------------------Long-----------------------------

Yet still more effective than Austin - says a lot.

Would have no problem with Long starting TBH.
-
They're too good to go down, strong on both sides of the pitch, solid, no chance they'll go down.

Glad we've got rid of a few, and I don't rate Cedric so not unhappy he's gone, but what I don't understand is why we've left our self in a precarious position, of having to rely on two 18 year olds at right back, and one injury away from having zero threat going forward. IT's a gamble thats for sure. Got to ask, where on earth is all the money going? I don't get the nonsense of wages, compensation figures etc. I can't imagine it's equal to all revenues, and given the amount of money we've brought in over the last 5 years, you've got to ask the question. Basically Gao is proving our biggest concern, and that's that the bloke is actually skint and completely unwilling to invest into the club. So why buy it apart from the additional marketing and to get him into the area? Surely there are better ways to do that than buy a football club. And also you have to question Kat for selling to a bloke with no money, basically flogged us for as much as she could get with no care in the world going forward. Concerning...
