Not necessarily, if you keep bringing in promising players, they prove themselves and then we reinvest part of the money, its not a problem. Only becomes a problem when you dont reinvest and you just lose your best players. If we can could this with some promising youth products and a few older heads, then happy days. We're never going to be a top top club without huge investment, so this is about the best we can hope for.

Nope, it's a good thing.
-
We basically play a false 9 in a 433 now, with Tadic as the false 9.

I don't think we would have let this get so public if we weren't pretty much certain he was coming.

Jeremy Wilson said early next week....

I really rate Davis - when he plays well, so do we generally, plus he can fill in for the DM's when they make forward runs. He's a great link, people have been trying to replace him for years, but every manager has picked him in the AM role. the CM role in the diamond does not suit him at all.

Looks incredibly light in midfield if we go with Tadic as one of the 3 defensive players.
-
If he signs, I would like to see something like: -----------Forster Pied-Fonte-VVD-Bertrand ----Romeu--Hojbjerg----- Boufal--Davis--Tadic -----------Long----------- Team suddenly looks a lot stronger, only place I'd be looking for an upgrade would be instead of Romeu. Could also put Redmond in for Davis and play Tadic or Boufal central.
-
Well - everyone has pretty much confirmed he's going as long as we bring someone else in, likely to be Boufal.

Always annoys me when Sky don't give credit to everyone else, when their sources are clearly just twitter and the newspapers.

Why?

Think this came from a Feyenoord fan, hence them being underlined, and guessing they're red because it means they can't be drawn against them in the group stages. -

Thought the same, especially as Osvaldo was rumoured to be more than the reported £12.8m. Difference probably is the exchange rate of the Euro and inflation!
-
Because I created the Redmond thread, and the Hojbjerg thread, I thought I'd start this one. Probably deserves his own thread after all.. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/14702448.Saints_set_to_smash_transfer_record_for___20m_Boufal/?commentSort=score

Brutal!!! Worrying if he is going though....!
-
AR-10...don't think he's ITK personally.
-
Surely he'll start, this is almost a must-win game. We need to get up and running, just to give the fans a boost if nothing else! If Bertrand can play, then he must IMO.

Neither Martina or Cedric are good enough to play in a top 10 prem side, we all wanted us to sign a decent RB this summer, it seems we've just signed another average one, but Pied looks an upgrade on these two.

Do they really need ANOTHER attacking midfielder? Bearing in mind we have what....1 in Tadic and possibly another in Davis.... They have: Ayew (ok yes injured) Feghouli Payet Antonio Lanzini Valencia Tore They brand themselves "The Academy of Football" - but when was the last time they brought through a player from their youth side....Noble/Tomkins are the only two I can think of and they must have made their debuts 10 years ago....! Reece Oxford is the only one they have right now but he doesnt get the chance to play. -
Hmm, I do not rate Cedric at all, personally think hes very very poor. Martina did a job, but isn't very good. probably indifferent. Clasie...meh, paid a decent amount of money for him when he's arguably not that much better than Harry Reed. Hasn't held down a place in the team, Elia and Djuricic gave us a bit of attacking squad depth that we needed at the time, and as I went to Newcastle when Elia scored twice and gave me a great weekend, I quite liked him, quite liked his passion too.
