  1. I'd love to think the club will have a striker lined up to join on the 1st January, but never seems to happen. We need at least 1 AM/Wide Player depending on system, and 1 top drawer striker to stand a chance of staying up IMO. If we cannot score we aren't going to win many games...Mara is nowhere near being good enough yet. Fine with him coming off the bench occasionally, but should not be starting in this league.
  2. Why are fans so short sighted? Clearly done a very good job elsewhere, and was always going to be incredibly difficult at the start of the season with a brand new squad.
  3. How have Forest bought 280 players in the summer, and have Steve Cook and Aurier in their first XI. Bonkers.
  4. Might well be...would you take him? tempting...
  5. Absolutely not on this occasion. Just a slow day at work and browsing the internet for potential new managers. Not someone I know anything about, but reading a bit about him, seems like he could be a fit for us. From RB Leipzig, high energy, pressing, demands a lot from the players...did well with Schalke getting them back into the top league, and seemed to do a decent job with RBL last season. Lost his way a bit this season and was sacked last month. I don't want a Rodgers, or Dyche etc. Would like Frank, but right now, not sure why he would leave Brentford, and not sure we could afford to sack ralph and pay Frank's compensation too.
  6. Anyone know much about Domenico Tedesco?? Could be a good fit ?
  7. 16-1? Where is the value in that? Be closer to 30-1 by Saturday I think.
  8. How weird.
  9. Wonder how we'll look to deal with Iwobi, seems to have got a new lease of life playing in CM, and we're missing Lavia and obviously it's a bit of a problem position for us atm, with AMN not in favour and Diallo being Diallo.
  10. It's such a mess.
  11. Has timetable been announced yet then? Trainline still says they may or may not run...? Another train strike
  12. They're not a bad side at all, Iwobi seems to have become a really important player for them. We need to get the tactics right. Personally I think it's time to take Elyounoussi out of the firing line, possibly for Stuey. Like most games this season, if we can get a few goals I think we have a great chance of winning, but a frustrating 0-1 is always a possibility with this squad. Going to go for a very hard fought 2-1 win. Trains an absolute mess for this one, which just ruins the day, especially with the M3 being a nightmare too. COYS
  13. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ci3IJT7DGhE/ Scored a lovely goal for their 21s, woeful defending though !
  14. TBF, he played like he did because of the opposite. We had to play deep and compact to not let goals in, because individuals were not great, and at that time Fonte was awol. But the football from an attacking perspective was some of the worst I've ever watched.
  15. Which is absolutely shit because of that awful 50 limit.
  16. Only sat home game left this year. And no trains. So irritating. Seems to be train strikes every week atm.
  17. Ridiculous to think we were ever on the list, the bloke will be looking for top champions league clubs, not struggling premier league clubs.
  18. I never understand this as an argument, as there are plenty of managers that are options. I wouldn't expect the average fan to know everything about ever manager out there either. Look at Brighton, personally I've never heard of the bloke, and could be a great appt, but could also be a duff. who knows...
  19. We've arguably only had 2 shit performances this season. Spurs (first game of the new season, didnt want to throw ABK in, a bit all over the place) and Villa (both teams were shit). Leeds - again early season, and a bit all over the place but showed really good character to come back from 2-0 down. On another day we take our chances, and beat both Man Utd and Wolves, and we got 2 great wins against Chelsea and Leicester. I'm not really sure you're argument is valid. For me, he got a clean slate in the summer when the club decided to keep him.
  20. He was very good at setting up a defensive team though, to protect the back 4. Just had nothing going forward because we were so deep all the time. Remember Middlesbrough played like it a few seasons ago when they came up and people were talking about Gibson for England. Unfortunately you have to find the right balance between going forward and being defensively sound, Puel didn't manage that at all IMO. It's the battle that Ralph has fought with since he's come in 4 years ago, but don't disagree he should have found a better way by now. Maybe with Broja this season, we'd be a different side, I think we would be.
  21. Thats because he didn't play him...
  22. Certainly seems a bit odd that he's gone from 16/1 to 5/4 in 12 hours. Says to me something has happened, as it hasn't happened because of 1 result...seems some money has come in for him. Have to take odds as a pinch of salt, especially when it's advertised like that on Betfair, as people just jump on the bandwagon. I hope he stays personally. Pretty much where I expected us to be after 7 games, if not slightly overachieved..
  23. Don’t think Aribo has trained all week. Be interesting to see if he’s starting…
  24. God we have some shit players... Trent cant defend, Chillwell is nowhere atm, Dier, Maguire, Mount, Abraham... Not sure how KWP hasn't got in that squad, but won't be long til he wants to move on, if he can't get in that squad.
  25. Great stuff! Hopefully he'll be off to the world cup too.
