I would suggest that players who move from one club to another should be made to sit out one round ! This would eliminate the possibility of teams taking short term advantage of new signings in the cup but be more equitable over a longer period !

Surely if you want to celebrate the heritage of 125 years then there is merit in reverting to the original kit ? IMO, one season in a changed strip will not make a jot of difference to our worldwide standing ! Arsenal did it a few years ago when they wore a burgundy colour for a season but I can't imagine that people had difficulty in adjusting back to their traditional red thereafter ?

Include the 10 deducted points and we would currently be 5 points off the play-offs ! Should our 'actual' final total achieve the top six then I don't reckon that it is much behind the plan (given that the start was hampered by new players settling, time constraints etc.. )! My guess is that the Echo AGREED to the arrangement and then reneged on it to suit themselves ! There is a big difference between being 'asked a favour' (to delay the announcement) and actually formally agreeing to something ! I do not know for sure but it could be that this 'breach of promise' really rattled Cortese more than anything !
