Kelvin 7 - not much to do but a safe pair of hands. Nicola 8 - very creative, never shirked a tackle, held the play together, has a great future. Pards 9 - brilliant all round game, would have had 10 if able say Kelvin, not Calvin. Overall impression - 8.5 This lot will take some stopping when the wheels really start rolling !

Devil's advocate here : Man Utd have never been shy in poaching players from lower premiership teams when it suits ie. Louis Saha and Van Der Sar from Fulham. Also wasn't the signing of Rooney from Everton a similar saga to the Lescott one ? Kinda works both ways methinks and many folks would be surprised to learn that the value of the Utd starting line up was more than that of City (Rooney, Berbatov and Ferdinand were £90 mil alone between them !).

I think that a couple of the scrawny little Yeovil lads took one look at 'Dellboy & Radhers' and muttered "Oh Sh#t" ! The match on Saturday reminded me of many games I saw last season where one team was full of dainty youngsters playing a neat passing game but getting nowhere and the other was fearsome and resolute with a 'thou shall not pass' mentality. Fortunately we have reversed roles since then, giving us a much better chance of winning games !

He did have a quiet game but this may have had something to do with the fact that he basically had nobody in front of him ! Lallana does not hog the wing and drifts inside most of the time, giving Harding little support to bomb forward ! Mills/Holmes offer much better balance on that side IMHO !!
