You can still get your ST discount if you show your confirmation email (I did) but you are quite right about the unavailability of the away kit in particular, it's a disgrace that UA are unable to supply a basic product which was designed months ago ! They clearly have 'supply chain' issues and should be penalised for lost sales at the very least ! Shabby performance from a 'so called' top brand name in the sports clothing sector !

I found the lights last night to have a distinctly 'yellowy' tinge but were pretty effective ! The big downside for me (sitting in the Kingsland) was that the red 'carpet' seemed to glow so brightly that it distracted my eyeline away from the pitch !
-
Thanks for your report, I was going to give mine once I got home from the match but you have saved me the bother, right down to the 'carpet', music and lights ! A fine summary, old chap !

Summer 2018 - Other teams Manager/transfer business
eurosaint replied to Batman's topic in The Saints
He specifically said the he 'hates what the PL has become' ! It is you who hates what SFC is ! -
I've just bought some new bathroom lights from John Lewis, any chance you could fit them for me ??? :)
-
It's a nice kit and should probably be the main one as it's predominantly our team colours (ok, maybe needs a bit more white) but is totally unnecessary apart from ripping off some of our more naive supporters ! The yellow/blue alternative covers all options so I really can't see when we'd need to wear this 3rd one in competitive games !

Apparently he's on £120k per week so I reckon that will knock this one on the head ! https://sillyseason.com/salary/chelsea-players-salaries-67985/

Appears to be a 'ghost' game - non news whatsoever !

Clearly the management have no problem with him otherwise they would not have produced and shown the video in the first place. I'm sure that it was intended as a 'tongue in cheek', lighthearted snapshot of how things go at training camps, nothing more. How anyone can get upset by it baffles me and it certainly does not create an impression of disruptive behaviour in any way. Strange thread really !

I ordered two youth shirts for my grandsons with names and numbers on the back ! They quoted 7-10 days for store pick up and 12 days later sent me a mail saying that they had arrived in the shop ! After a half hour drive, I presented my printed confirmation and the (dozy) young girl went out the back for 10 mins to collect it, she returned and said that it wasn't there and must be on the next van on Saturday ! I stood my ground and insisted that someone else look so a (dozy) young lad searched for another 10 mins with still no luck ! I then asked for the manager with the intention of getting them to deliver it to my home with no extra charge and she said that before she took any other action she would have a quick look out the back ! Lo and behold, she returned with a parcel with my name on it ! She explained that it had been at the 'bottom of the pile' and half heartedly apologised for the inconvenience ! In the end the shirts were spot on and I saved over £60 so can't complain but it sure proves that 'customer service' is not a priority at Sports Direct ! I know all about the minimum wage issues etc.. but honestly, trained monkeys could have done a better job !

Harry Kane just got the golden boot for scoring against Tunisia and Panama ! I guess that makes him cr@p as well ???

Saints will finish mid table. Elyounousy will be a star. Hughes will be slated. Hughes will be praised. Ralph will talk gibberish. Les will receive an OBE. Saints will march on....

Fecking incompetent more like !
-
Same with me, is it actually on stream on the SFC website ??
-
Adam Blackmore reckoned that Tadic was the most polite and approachable guy you could come across so I doubt that he was disruptive in the dressing room at all !
-
I actually meant to say 'moral obligation' but the thrust of my post was that if you push them then there is a good chance that they will relent ! Most high street retailers are committed to customer satisfaction/goodwill and are afraid of adverse publicity so, for the sake of a few quid don't make a fuss ! It's worked for me in similar circumstances, although admittedly I have no experience with Sports Direct !
-
Thank you for your reasoned response, perhaps you could detail precisely why this approach won’t work !
-
Whatever 'disclaimer' they put out, you can still query it - the 'sale of goods act' states that they are obliged to sell to you at the 'marked price' (in this case the advertised reduction) ! If they claim that they are out of stock then tell them that you are prepared to wait for replenishment but at the price that they originally confirmed to you ! After all they induced you to purchase in the first place and many people may have signed up to their app under false pretences ! Don't just accept it, pursue it and you do have a very good chance that they will cave in..! ( Ps. 4o years in the retail business should have given me some idea of what actually happens behind the scenes )
-
If I were you I would query it and not let them off the hook ! If they continue selling the article, even at a higher price they are still obliged to stick to your original ‘contract’ when stock is available ! Quote the ‘sale of goods act’ and advise them that you are prepared to take it further ! No guarantee that this will work but if they squirm out of it then it really is sharp practice !
-
Actually Sports Direct are the one's taking the hit ! As I explained previously, Under Armour will be paying the royalty to Saints and their price to SD will be unchanged so for us, everyone is a winner
-
I have been quoted 7 - 10 days but maybe that is because the printing on the back takes longer ?? Although it may also be because they are delivering to the store on the IoW !
-
I have a vague memory of us beating Slough 9-0 at their place with Paul Rideout getting about 4 !
-
Quite simple, they just reduce their mark up ! Pretty sure that the cost price they pay to Under Armour remains the same and as Saints royalty fee comes directly from UA then the club do not lose out ! It's basically a 'loss leader' from Sports Direct for a very limited period and is very much a normal retail practice these days ! Be happy and take advantage is my advice :)

This is what always gets me, they over inflate expectations big time ! Radio Solent were playing 'Congratulations' and 'So you win again' before matches, there were 25 page pull out victory spreads in the tabloids, Kane was given a rating of 11/10 for the Panama game FFS so no wonder it feels like a let-down in the end ! It's now easy to say that this squad will develop and improve for WC 2022 but that assumes that all the other big nations will sit on their arses and go backwards which ain't gonna happen ! Anyway fourth was ok but in reality (given the way the draw panned out) it was a huge chance which might never come again in most of our lifetimes !
