Someone said a few posts ago that you should take US dollar traveller cheques but for me this is plain daft ! Firstly you have to go to a bank which is open and queue up etc.. You suffer twice from exchange rate shortfalls and commissions (3 times if you have money left over!) so it is far better to go directly for Singapore dollars ! There are ATM's all over the place and this is the most convenient way to do it, best to take out sizeable amounts each time rather than small as you tend to have a standard transaction cost but (having been there many times!) it is the best solution IMHO !

I thought that too, in fact quite a few of their players looked similar especially the guy called Treacy ! Didn't seem to hinder their movement but it was noticeable ! (Maybe their kit was too tight:))

A win is a win in the cup but we made bl**dy hard work of it. Burnley were effectively dead and buried at HT but our defensive lapses let them back in ! Yoshida was ok but Jos was a liability ! Kelvin didn't look very good either ! Ah well, another home tie and we keep learning and moving on...

Perhaps you should draw up a guest list and submit it to the club in advance ? It's never good to have the wrong type of people at a football match

Whatever team we put out I think the key is to have a very strong bench so that we can change the game if or when necessary ! Surely our reserves can be better than their reserves ?

Morgan had a poor game by his own high standards but he worked his nuts off as did the rest of them ! In those conditions (you probably don't realise just how bad they were!) it was almost impossible to rely on his trademark long passing game. It's pointless IMO to criticise one of our top players after one sub par performance against such a hugely expensive and talented squad like Chelsea. All about opinions of course but that is mine !

Well beaten in tough conditions but we worked really hard throughout and perhaps understandably, tired later in the match ! With Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Willian running at you on a soaking pitch it is far from easy ! Although we lost I see no case for criticism, not that it will hold back our resident WUM's I'm sure !

Oscar is a cheating little git, well done the ref for seeing it correctly !

Gaston is an enigma but I feel that now could be a good time to give him a run in the first team to see just what he is capable of, if he doesn't shape up then well and good, he can be offloaded and replaced ! There will be plenty of takers as he clearly has a natural ability but it needs to be embedded within a team ethic ! In Pocho we trust !

I feel that McKay, as an up and coming British manager, was doing a pretty good job and his record stands up to a fair degree of scrutiny so far ! To be outside of the relegation zone after 18 games gave them a good fighting chance to stay up after 50 odd years out of the top flight ! Before the 'dirty washing' issues, they were looking ok but seem to have suffered because of it ! Tan, on the other hand is clearly a megalomaniac who is used to being fawned upon by his minions in Asia and can't quite understand why Malky is getting the kudos for promotion etc.. He is putting up the money and expects the glory as a natural reward but resents the fact that someone else is more popular than him ! Of the two, I would prefer to be associated with a straight, honest, football man than someone who is clearly on a quest for celebrity, based on his wealth and perceived superior knowledge of England's national sport ! All IMHO of course !

I'm a real old fashioned traditionalist and will stick to champagne for the bells ! Before that probably a couple of pints then a bottle of Macon Lugny with the dinner ! Dancing to a pretty crap 60's live band who will no doubt get us all on the floor with their low quality rendition of ' Hi Ho Silver Lining'! Deep joy, bring it on .... !

I read it last month and had the same impression ! Was actually quite a good read, especially as I paid under 4 quid on Kindle !
