How are we not showing loyalty? All we've said is he isn't in our plans and should look for another club. If he doesn't want to well then we still pay his wages for the duration of the contract. Clubs show loyalty at the start by offering the long contract on big wages, players show loyalty by sticking to what the contract says - unless both parties agree they can move. Both were good players for us at the time so not sure why we're poking fun at them (if that's what this is), but taking it seriously Powell all day long, played at a far higher level than Trotman, was taller and better in the air so much more likely to clear the ball away. Adkins always used to praise Watson when we scored creative freekick routines saying that he was the one who came up with them, maybe he'll be specficially a set piece coach.

If they're bringing in VAR they should bring in the proposed changes to timekeeping - have the clock stop every time it's out of play, do away with injury time and reduce the length of a match to 80 minutes. You'd end up actually watching more football played on the pitch than we do now.

I viewed Hasenhuttls preference to be creating chances quickly after winning the ball back high up the pitch, in which case someone able to cross from deep would be a real asset.

That was what I said originally. As Adrian said above, unlikely to get the space/amount of chances he got in the Championship...defenders will be more alert, quicker to close down and sharper in the tackle and keepers won't be as slow to react. If he gets double figures I will happily hold my hands up and say I was wrong, but I just haven't seen anything about him to be able to get excited.
