As much as I didn't think we'd show any improvement under him and I don't like the bloke, I do feel sorry for him a bit. Must have been so happy and optimistic and now he'll probably not manage at the top level again.
Stadium itself was lovely, just not right for football. Would've been a fantastic option for a potential London NFL team but hey ho, Hammers are stuck with it now.
Solid. System worked very well. Yoshida and Martina were superb, as were Reed, Targett, Hesketh, JWP and Long. No-one had a "bad" game although I must admit to being disappointed Clasie isn't getting more involved offensively.
When's the draw?
Ignoring the football, some places in the world do have areas that are best avoiding altogether if you don't want to get mugged by a group of thugs. I think it's fairly sensible to check.
Watching that video above I'm gutted I can't afford to make this, just came too soon for me. If it were one of the last games I could have afforded the £800-odd plane fare through doing a f*ck ton of overtime.
Tbf if they turn up close to kick off time they might start rushing people through. But if you're going to risk it you have to be prepared to be turned away.
Redmond is doing everything right and getting in some great positions, but just his finishing is letting him down (big time). However there's enough there to keep faith in the experiment.
One thing I really, really didn't like today was our mentality for the last 20 minutes. We went so defensive and almost gave up on going for a second (which nearly cost us but for Forster). Hope it's just a case of wanting that first win on the board and not suggestive of how we'll play in future when we get a slim lead.
