He's played 21 games in the last 8 seasons. No thanks.

Maybe the club couldn't find anyone who they thought was a suitable upgrade within their price range. We all want better players but sometimes it's not possible.

Solid game today. No chance with the goals, one very good save.

Deserved at least the point. Showed some fight and determination throughout which was good to see. Redmond excellent when he came on. Nice to see Mo score too. Djenepo just cracks me up, such a funny player. That miss really was hilarious. Newcastle are pretty crap, they really only have one player who just happens to be very good.

We have much better fullback options now, just look at what Livramento has done in 2 games so far. Last season we were doing really well until Walker Peters got injured and then we rapidly went down hill, partly because of having to fit people in at RB who were either massively out of position or just a bit shit. Full backs are ridiculously important to how we play and that area is now significantly stronger which will benefit the whole team. Ings is obviously a big loss but I think that overall the squad does have better outfield players, especially in the the way the team will defend. And by that I mean the whole team, as our pressing demands every player performs a defensive role even when they are in the opposition half.

Happy with what we have done. Would like to see either Long out on loan or Obafemi sold as we probably have too many strikers now and I don't think either of them will have much of an impact this season. If we did get in a CM that would make for a great window.

Hopefully having better outfield players and a more balanced squad will reduce the number of shots on target the keepers have to face anyway. Less shots on target = less chance of a mistake leading to a goal. We can muddle through this season with what we have.

Another clean sheet for Forster. Stats don't lie.

Soucek has been one of the best signings anyone has made in the past couple of seasons. Links the team together well while quietly going about his business. Every time I've watched him he has put in an 8/10 performance. Excellent player.

Did any Man Utd fans get kicked out for celebrating in the home ends or were there not many in our seats?

Has this been posted here yet? Obviously the excitement of being near such an iconic sporting stadium got them aroused. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/paramedic-sacked-being-undressed-rocking-24805030

I've been at a festival all week. It's unbelievably liberating to walk around in large crowds of smiling, happy people, cramming into tents to see bands and moshing without even thinking about covid. It's like a totally different world and I'm not looking forward to getting back to the old one tomorrow. As for the game it will be 5-1 to someone. Probably Man Utd.

Doyle signed scholarship terms early so at least we have that in our favour. Would imagine that as soon as he turns 17 they'll offer him a pro contract.
-
Off topic but I met a Crewe season ticket holder last night who said Kayne Ramsey has been doing well for them. Does that match your view?
-
Seems like he's making the step up to 18's comfortably. Very excited about him.

Caleta-Car played for Croatia v England in the Euros so everyone has seen him play. Whether they remember him or not is another matter.
-
Does anyone remember the football manager game that used to be run by post? They advertised it in the back of magazines and you had to pick teams, tactics etc and post it off and then you'd get a reply with detailed match results and then send your next lot of tactics in. Would have been around 1990. Please someone say yes.

It can be a bit relentless though. Makes the same point over and over, although by no means is that exclusive to one poster.

Dman is SKD right?

Missed this at the weekend, but Lemina's debut at Nice ended with them winning 4-0 against Jose Fonte's champions Lille. Pretty good start at his new club. Once Schneiderlin is fit it will be interesting to see them link up in a Saints defectors midfield.

Glad we have got to the bottom of this. I'm fully behind the signing now.

Isn't Chez always banging the drum for us to sign Forest players? We might have to wait until he posts to get a true evaluation. Also, what it Worrall is an actual hipster? He obviously earns decent money so not beyond the realms of possibility that he listens to music on a restored gramaphone and eats breakfast at a cereal restaurant.
