Have a look at NowTV boxes - a tenner I think. Gives you access to on-demand Sky shows (so if you want to watch Big Vic flatten Lallana in the first game of the season in glorious HD you still can) To Jailbreak ATV you need a version 2 box off eBay or similar - make sure it hasn't taken any updates for the last couple of years as well. Really best to buy an already jailbroken one these days. A great cheap option if you don't mind getting your hands dirty is a Raspberry Pi running OpenElec or RaspBMC - you can be up and running for around £30 with a box which will play anything you throw at it. If you want to go down the illegal streaming route for your sports then there are plugins available to make that process easy for OpenElec and XBMC For a tenner a month you can get Sky Sports Mobile TV and have all sports channels but you can only watch on the iPad/iPhone and it will be low bandwidth - just about acceptable quality for a small screen. I have this for watching the F1 races not on BBC and the occasional Saints game but I wouldn't watch by choice - only have it because we can't get Sky here (landlord issues putting up a dish)

Pelle has a white Ferrari FF Surprised he has a "practical" Ferrari, is he married with kids?
-
Prior to that he had a Toyota Celica. Used to work for Hendy's and we sold Nicky Banger a Fiesta XR3i when he signed his first pro contract

LOL, genius... ...and not far from the truth

£10m if he ever does make Messi look sh!te

Fair point - seen two of those from the periphery, both over-ran by over a year and spent cash faster than Man City. The only people to benefit were the BASIS consultants

CRM solutions are second only to NHS computer projects for their ability to over-consume cash and under-deliver results. They're the reason why British Gas send bills to dead people. Every company I've worked for seem to have spent millions, projects always over-run, and often are obsolete by the time they're delivered.

Sounds fun, even if I do have the build of Chris Hoy's Dad rather than the man himself. Can highly recommend New Forest north of A31 for cycling. Base yourself in Fordingbridge and either loop out west to Cranborne/Shaftesbury, south east to Boldrewood & Burley, or east/north east up through Bramshaw/NoMansLand. Decent rolling terrain all around plus if you insist the brief hell of Blissford Hill's 1 in 4. All on relatively quiet roads.

England World Cup Squad - Lambert, Lallana and Shaw included

89th minute, Final vs Brazil, penalty to England, score 0-0, Rickie steps up... The man is such a talisman I wouldn't put it past him. Certainly his sheer joy at being called up (let alone being picked for a starting 11) should be bottled and fed to every other member of the 23. His comments last night are what every player should feel when they're called up for their country. -
This could have the legs of the Pompey Takeover Saga thread at this rate...

Sir Bradley of Wiggins has a bowl of porridge before going to bed. Slow release energy packed carb very good for repairing hard worked muscles -
If you follow the young players on Twitter all you see is a great sense of shared history and they're genuinely made up when one of their group graduates to the first team. Shaw in particular has posted photos from when he was 12/13 and playing alongside JWP, Chambers, etc saying how its great to now all be playing in the first team together. They all come across as a genuine good lads, its clear that the club put great emphasis on this. From Lallana down they're all humble and working together for each other and the team. All seem genuinely aware of the privilege they have to play footie for a living and to play for Saints. Think it will count in our favour, not in all cases, but I think we'll keep hold of Shaw unless Chelsea come knocking.

Also, if they've just signed a new TA and its an Assured Shorthold Tenancy it can't be varied in the first 6 months unless all parties agree. If its a periodic tenancy then they run on a rent period to rent period basis (i.e. monthly if rent is paid monthly)
-
Depends on the terms of the tenancy agreement, some have clauses about co-habitees some don't. If you're not paying rent then you can't form a tenancy agreement. But bear in mind virtually all standard TA's will have a clause about sub-letting (which would be what your partner would be doing if you informally split her portion of the rent). Council tax has nothing to do with the landlord or the TA. From memory when I was renting I remember TAs which said stuff along the lines of if you had someone staying at the property regularly for more than 3 nights a week you had to tell the landlord. In practice I would guess few tenants will actually bother telling their landlords, and landlords won't bother checking.

Society hangs by a thread. Think back to the August riots and petrol shortages of the past few years. Supermarkets emptied, people fighting over cans and bread etc. Govt reckons it would only take 7-10 days for widespread disruption to necessitate martial law. Not saying there would ever be a mass genocide here but certainly never far from widespread crime and disorder beyond the control of the police. And the army lack manpower these days if called out.

I'd rather Liverpool win the title than any other team (other than Saints of course). Rogers plays the right way, and being a child of the 70s (when the whole country got behind whichever British team was in the European Cup) I have a bit of a soft spot for them. Having several Liverpool supporting mates as well meaning I've also sat on the Kop and was there for one of the famous Newcastle 4-3 games. Easily the best non-Saints game I've ever seen.

In this case I couldn't give a monkey's about the WC, just want him back fit and healthy at some point in the future. If he's good enough he's young enough to play in three more major tournaments at least for England, priority is for him to have a complete recovery, not to rush him back. Absolutely gutted when I saw it, fortunately that sort of thing hasn't happened to a Saints player for a long time.
-
Big, powerful, fast, brilliant close control. Agree with others, if he took more of his chances he'd be in with more of a chance. Also I don't think the way England play suits his style, he's best running on to long passes rather than the short range pinging about we seem to do. Getting better and better though. If he gets another 4 or 5 before the end of the season, and/or plays well against Citeh & Utd he might just edge out Welbeck (still think Roy will take him as for all his ****eness at club level he's been pretty good for England). Having said that, can't underestimate the advantage playing three club mates who instinctively know each others games would bring.

With a name like that I was expecting another RIP thread

For a big man that setup job he did for Lallana's goal against Spurs was top notch - quick brain, quick feet, precise pass. He always has added more to this team than just goals.

Aiming to get down to 100kg (currently 120kg). Just cycling at present with the aim of doing a Century in October (New Forest one). Already doing 30-milers and next challenge is the Isle of Wight sportive in July. Hard work for a fat bastard but definitely having an affect - I was 21st when I started cycling regularly last May. Its the only form of exercise I genuinely enjoy - I think the fact that you have no choice but to cycle home again is a big help for me. Far too easy to feel knackered in the gym and go for an early shower whereas last weekend I was knackered at Burley and knew I had 10 miles to go before I could stop.

Either you're all too young to remember this or you've just forgotten but this is one of the great solo Saints goals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjkR91QEjFg and also against Everton...

Pleased to see the PL/FA/FL do this, a fitting commemoration for the 25th anniversary. Would be great to hear a 6-minute rendition of Justice for the 96 between 3pm and then. Certainly hope that there's no PA/music during that time.

Currently 20% or so of most crowds are standing throughout the match in areas which weren't designed for it, seems a perfectly logical idea to make those areas safer by introducing rail seating or similar. I remember Hillsborough and its had a lasting impression on me - to the point I stopped going to games and gigs for a while after it as I got a bit phobic about large crowds. But at the The Dell (Archers) and St Marys (Northam) I've always stood and wouldn't want it any other way. We seem to have given up on getting people to sit down but it would be good to change the ground regs to make it official.
