  1. What are you talking about, we are in the bottom three and you don't expect any finger pointing, you are such a better person. Read the other posts there plenty of ideas floating about, people are allowed to vent their frustration. Go join in one of the positive posts, if you can find one, better still start one instead of coming on here having a go.
  2. Probably sick of the vitriolic reponses he got when people saw his name, shame as he talked a lot of sense.
  3. I wouldn't call three places 'vastly improved league finishes'. Thats 3 places using your timescale of 7 years or 1 place if you use the proper timescale of 8 years (the top flight years of Lowe). How many of Forest, Sheff Weds, Coventry, Derby, Leicester, QPR, Norwich, Ipswich, Leeds, Man City, Wolves, West Brom, Charlton, Palace and all the rest have the same muppets in charge now. I would agree with LS that Askham and Lowe meeting up and creating the PLC hasn't been good for Southampton.
  4. A school down the road from me didn't have enough boys to play in their team and got a special dispensation from the FA to play girls. Maybe we could get one too, there's a bird in the ticket office that looks as though she could handle herself.
  5. Mummy why is my willy smaller than all the other boys
  6. Maybe he had his mouth full the whole time.
  7. Do you really think if they take over the groundsman role it would make amends. Mind you it would help lower the costs. They could even sell tickets, rotten fruit, eggs and bricks.
  8. Its bad when this is the highlight of our day in OCTOBER.
  9. Sorry sunshine read the top of the thread, its was talking about Lowe decisions whilst we were in the premiership. Im not talking about gambling now but a riskier approach a few years back and we might not be here. Maybe splashing out in Jan to strengthern the defence in the relegation season may have been a bright thing to do. So before you jump in with two feet read the context.
  10. John just come on for BC.
  11. Game over, season over.
  12. £3million
  13. You can transfer that risk through a design and build contract, PFI shifts the capital expenditure from the user to in most cases a large plc, Carillian and the like. Lease back is just a business decision even in these times, if a company can get St Marys at a good price they might feel that the return is worth it. As I said its happened before.
  14. Just what we needed a rehash of 'its only the fault of those after Lowe' b*****ks, do we really near to have retelling of the nonsense every thread, and you finish of with the classic b*****ks 'the threat of non-league football', what club of our size has that happen to. I understand what DD is getting at, when there’s a decision to be made Lowe will always default to the business case and never take a punt on the football case if the business case doesn't support it. But sometimes the riskier ventures come off and everyone a winner. But with Lowe’s cautious approach we are where we are.
  15. Why not it has happen before; Coventry, Watford, Brentford, Palace just of the top of my head. You get PFI and partnering initiatives all the time. Hospitals, schools, London Fire Brigade do it, who would have thought someone would want to buy a fire station. Sainsburys were considering it a few years back.
  16. No one outside the board and bank knows, so it my guess that the situation is not as bad as feared.
  17. No, no, no admin must be avoided. Can we not sell the ground and lease it back until we are in a better position.
  18. So he was sacked for refusing to play the chairmans preferred team, he wont find that sort of interference here, hcdajfu.
  19. He will probably score their third as well.
  20. V funny. That conjures up a image, is wiseman stroking a white pussy.
  21. Is this our nadir or is there more to come. I think JP's bit on the OS is very telling 'we can't afford to guarentee him first team football' - Lowe is in charge of who can not be picked. If Lowe could issue a statement it would be along the lines of 'Because of the fall in attendances we have to let Stern go'. Its all the fans fault ******** is it, Ive never seen another relegated team implode as much as we have. Maybe Sheff Wed a good few years back, but they were paying huge prem wages, we can't even keep players we bought as a relagated team. This is pure punishment for the fans. He will go to Bristol n da goal gonna get buss.
  22. I stand corrected then.
  23. Im not expecting you to think he's a good manager, he is clearly an average manager so I would have thought you wouldn't have been so hard because he is an ex-player. Is it because he was here before Lowe and all things non-lowe are ****, winky thing.
