  1. Liked these two best "They should start the game on minus ten goals" "If we play them, we should give their share of the receipts to one of the businesses they shafted."
  2. Yeah but could they play in Lg1?
  3. Looks just as much like RL as it does Ted Bates tbf
  4. I agree how climate change will affect us a country is still all guesswork. But if you are already holding a flukey set of cards which gives you much better weather than other places as far north, would you want the pack reshuffled without knowing what you will get dealt but knowing that most other options would be worse for us?
  5. Our climate is exceptionally mild compared with other places on the same latitude. We are as far north as Labrador in Canada and Kamchatka in Russia folks. An exceptional combination of factors, including the gulf stream make it very mild here. Only tiny changes in the global climate could royally **** us up. All it would take is for our prevailing winds to start coming from the North or East instead of the warm south west or for the gulf stream to shut down and we'd be looking at typical temperatures at least 5 degrees lower than today. Just because the planet gets warmer on average doesnt mean that we do.
  6. My favourite part from the St George article. Tells you all you need to know. "Readers who might want to learn more about the issues could start with the series of articles by A.Neil Hutton, P.Geol., Ph.D. being published in The Reservoir, the monthly newsletter of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists."
  7. The EU. Apart from being the market for 60% of our exports, what did they ever give us?
  8. i didnt read that coz its 2 long.
  9. I guess you'd have to be. Anyone rational and sane would think - should i put this interesting but not of vital public importance information into the public domain and bring a whirlwind of crap down on my head for no money, or should i carry on with my nice life being happy.
  10. Can we assume is wasn't mark.dennis@aol.com then?
  11. GF has one and she likes it well enough - the convenience of accessing any book you want easily is her main draw i think. Personally I dont warm to it at all. Give me a paper book anytime. Different strokes for different folks
  12. Are you running down our fine and selfless health service? You should be ashamed.
  13. Its only libellous if its not true. Didnt agree that he should have posted some of what he did but tbf what he said seemed to come true.
  14. Somehow i find it harder to believe you went to the newsagent to buy a car mag and just by chance happened to notice the porn mags than to believe your ex is a pornstar....
  15. Its ther nature of bringing on young players though. I know somebody who had trials for England at 12, Arsenal and Chelsea at 13, signed for Pompey at 14, let go at 16, playing non league footie at 18 and now doesnt play at at all. Probably 90% of the scholars will end up like him - but in 50 who go through the Saints academy you'll get 6 or 7 like Best or McGoldrick, a couple like Surman or Lallana and 1 like Walcott or Bale. Walcott's fee alone probably paid for 10 years of running costs for the academy.
  16. Avoid those with kids seats in the back. The kids tend to fling the doors open.
  17. Fair enough. that http://www.ukpower.co.uk comparison site is worth checking out though.
  18. Why do you want a 'dead weird tariff'. ukpower.co.uk have 'godirect' tariff with Scottish and Southern, its really cheap, maybe cheapest nationally.
  19. Or SMS if its Brighton v Bompey.
  20. Maybe its a warning that he cant rely on the 'I'm injured Guv' excuse for not scoring for much longer.
  21. They're not there anymore. In an office behind Victoria station (or were about 18 months ago).
  22. Proves my point really, a bit pathetic. Specially when its posted by someone so overly concerned about clothes, image and other peoples sexuality......
  23. Had that a few weeks ago when parked in a 'parents with young children bay' - the ones with a least three feet either side between spaces. If they cant get in and out of those without hitting somebody else they shouldnt be driving. Pushed the wing in so I cant open the door. Fantastic.
  24. Ive lived in or near Brighton for 20 years and been to a few of their games, so yes I think so. I guess my point is that chants between us and Pompey are funny because they are unique to our rivalry. The Brighton fans hear the gay chants at every single match. To them it neither winds them up nor is funny - its just sounds a bit pathetic - like the bloke who buys life insurance and says to rep when he signs "worth more dead than alive eh lol lol!!" thinking he's being original.
  25. The problem with the gay chants isnt that they're offensive, its that they're tired, lazy and totally miss the target. As with Saints fans the large majority of Brighton fans are hetero white men. There are more people of Indian origin in Southampton than gay people in Brighton. Would it be funny if the Brighton fans chanted 'does your Ashram know you're here'? or would you just think 'what the **** are they on about?
