  1. I think we can all acknowledge and agree that international law allows people to claim asylum in whatever country they choose to do so. That's a given. I guess what some people find hard to comprehend, perhaps understandably to a certain degree, is why someone fleeing their homeland for fear of their life wouldn't naturally seek to claim asylum as soon as they reach safety, in whatever country that may be. I guess what some people are thinking is: "surely the relief of having saved their life would lead them to claim asylum as soon as possible rather than possibly risk their life further by extending/prolonging their journeys more than they need to in order to stay safe?" In other words, just because the law allows someone to do something, it may not actually be logical and/or sensible to do what the law allows you to do?
  2. Wouldn't they be even richer if they didn't give their money to people smugglers..?
  3. When you query on social media why an artist/comedian/band haven't included a gig in the West Country on their upcoming tour, to which some bright spark replies: "They're doing Bristol". Bristol.... that'll be the place that's closer to Manchester than many parts of Cornwall, and closer to Birmingham than large swathes of Devon. West Country, my arse
  4. If it's not going to win the Tories a signifcant number of votes at the next general election (or indeed, it could/should even lose them votes if its as unpopular as you say) then anyone who doesn't want the Tories to win the next election should be happy that they are barking up the wrong tree with this policy and actively encourage them to continue shooting themselves in the foot, shouldn't they..?
  5. 186 (just counting the number of times I've read that line on social media today.... )
  6. This is what baffles me about the clever people. They tend to say stuff that makes the thick people even more resolute to vote for the very things that the clever people abhor. Surely, if the clever people were really clever then they would avoid telling the thick people how thick they are? Yet they do the opposite. Maybe we simply live in a world where everyone is thick, no matter how clever some people think they are....?
  7. There wasn't the usual 'print at home' option available when I bought my ticket. Just home delivery or collect at stadium.

  11. Indeed... What this club needs right now is fans that are always brimming with positivity....
  12. I think they're only on sale to fans with previous booking history though, rather than anyone who happens to be registered?
  13. I find his technique quite arousing, so long may it continue as far as I'm concerned. Especially the addition of "...right?" at the end of every post. I'm getting moist even as I type.
  14. You ok, hun? 😂
  15. Hmm...
  16. Bollocks
  17. Doesn't our 'Ralphball' system theoretically work better against the better teams though...? i.e. the teams that don't sit back in numbers and play on the counter? #clutchingatstraws
  18. I can see Forest being dragged back into the relegation scrap over the next few weeks...
  19. It did occur to me to give him/her/them a pre-emptive name check before posting....
  20. Well, that worked a treat...
  21. # Warped logic klaxon # Everton are one of those teams that always seem to find enough to avoid relegation so I'd actually prefer them to beat other teams that are within catching distance of us, such as Forest.
