  1. Their season has been reliant on team spirit and good tactics rather than player quality. 2nd season syndrome may hit them hard. A win for a much improved Saints would see them finish only 2 points behind Sheff Utd. One team on an upward trajectory, the other the opposite.
  2. We aren't relying on them really, it is in our hands to win by a bigger margin. #EpicBattleFor11th
  3. Hasenhuttl said Djenepo and Boufal were unlikely to play again this season. They haven't been shown in recent training galleries.
  4. Lighthouse didn't name a manager. I think he was talking in general rather than solely anout Puel.
  5. That Billy Sharp can't hear
  6. With Ings still going for the golden boot I doubt a penalty on Sunday would be taken by anyone but him if on the pitch.
  7. And the point of that would be?
  8. No fans at the stadium makes that difficult.
  9. A big payout of your contract after a few weeks work. Sounds good to me!
  10. Hopefully, because that would mean we've beaten Sheff Utd by 2 goals on Sunday. ๐Ÿ‘ผ
  11. Should be looking to improve on it, not simply match it. Imagine if we played like we have since November for the whole season!? Only 3 more wins in the beginning of the season when we weren't playing 4222 would have seen us competing for a European place.
  12. They are rehashing old stories. http://sportwitness.co.uk/agent-denied-report-southamptons-e15m-offer-serie-defender/ https://www.ansa.it/liguria/notizie/2020/05/26/sampdoria-southampton-offre-15-milioni-per-colley_cdeb5819-5d48-45d2-8492-506d35633aee.html
  13. I'd guess when crowds return we may see Yoshida at St Mary's at some point in the future when he is available. Just seems the type of thing he'd do.
  14. Referee's assistants have been told not to flag for tight decisions and leave it to VAR for such incidents. It was only his leg offside so wasn't that clear, especially at full speed in a crowded box to see both the moment it left the head and where Wilson was at the same time.
  15. 11th place is at stake in our epic battle with Champions League chasing Everton!
  16. Lots of people overlook that for most of this season Obafemi was 19 years old. It was only the lockdown which meant he played beyond being a teenager. When Adams was Obafemi's current age he was playing in League One having recently moved from non League football. I'm not saying Obafemi is currently better than Adams, but Obafemi gets a lot of stick for someone who could still play for the under 23 team for the next few years. He has already shown as a back-up striker he can be useful at this level. For example he deserves some credit for the assist today.
  17. Doesn't really work, because we wouldn't have played with 10 men in all those games if Ings hadn't been playing. Ok Long, Adams & Obafemi are very unlikely to have scored as many as him but they'd still have scored some in that extra gametime they'd have had. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. That gets a 21 year right back for Man Utd... how about a 21 goal Premier League striker!? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰
  19. We won 2-0, Redmond got the assist for the first goal. Isn't that attacking momentum? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿค”
  20. A draw today for them would mean a Watford draw on Tuesday wouldn't relegate them.... today's defeat does mean they can go down on Tuesday!
  21. If Bournemouth vs Southampton is a 'big derby game'... Why was there not a single Cherries fan in the stadium today?
  22. Or... Bednarek is not available and Vestergaard is better than Danso "Yesterday, he had a light muscle injury and it was too risky to bring him in with a busy week so it doesn't make sense."
