  1. Can you really use that as a stick to beat Black with? It is for Pellegrino to decide ultimately the intensity levels of the training... not Black (who was not even Pellegrino's assistant manager... he was just a 1st team coach!)
  2. After 2 years of Claude Puel & Mauricio Pellegrino, the Mark Hughes pre-match press conference today was a refreshing breath of fresh mountain air!
  3. Only 19% of the population of Wales speaks Welsh according to the 2011 census, I have my doubts Hughes speaks it fluently as his mother tongue.
  4. If that was true why would they be spending money on improving the shop?
  5. It is closing for a month for a major refurbishment, I'm not sure why you think that means it is closing down. Announced last week... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-03-09/westquay-store-refurbishment-march-april-2018 They (like every other club) always do huge discounts towards the end of the season, because very soon the number of people wanting 2017/18 season merchandise will drop sharply.
  6. He was 34 years old on the day he signed for us. Very much on the decline and his legs had gone so he dropped into central midfield.
  7. I'm puzzled how you worked that out? Plus when he played for Saints he was used in midfield not as a striker and it was at the end of his career. He played as a striker at Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern Munich & Barcelona for good reason... he was a very good striker!
  8. This isn't new 'news'
  9. How would Targett make any difference in that situation?
  10. Such as...? Any examples of predictions for these easier opportunities?
  11. What about... Conte & Guardiola?
  12. Hopefully the spark to ignite our season!
  13. Simon Peach‏Verified account @SimonPeachFollowingFollowing @SimonPeach More Expecting Mark Hughes to be confirmed as #SaintsFC boss imminently... #holdthebackpage #wellholdsomespaceanyway
  14. It is an Alex Crook article, he doesn't anything remotely close to a reliable track record.
  15. Why would no-one be interested in signing a contract that would earn them millions of pounds?
  16. The Saloon is burning down!
  17. If the 3 in a 4-2-3-1 are instructed to support the lone striker then there really isn't anything wrong with having a lone striker.
  18. There is a significant difference... mine is a fictional character and his is a real life mass murderer & rapist
  19. It wasn't a dreadful decision, it was entirely the right decision to sack Puel. The football was dire, the points drop from the previous season was huge, the lack of goals and excitement for season ticket holders was stark. The problem is not the act of sacking Puel, it is the disastrous decision to appoint Pellegrino to replace him. A competent manager would likely have this squad in mid table.
  20. The type of person who'd have an avatar picture of a serial killer and rapist?
  21. As recently as 2016 Southampton finished 3 points from a Champions League spot. Obviously it has been a disaster since then, but it wasn't beyond the realms of possibility given we were a mere 3 points from it under Koeman.
  22. I didn't say I didn't want Pellegrino sacked (I do want him gone), I'm just saying one could look at Silva at Hull and say the gap to safety increased with him in charge.
  23. Playing Devil's advocate... On the day Silva was appointed... Hull were 3 points from safety After the last game of the season... Hull were 6 points from saftey
  24. Is forcing board members to leave the stadium during a game due to a possible threat to their safety really something people would be happy with? Not the actions of a civilised society!
