  1. They probably want you out of the company for spending too much time on here...
  2. To be fair, it took Neville a few weeks to find his feet and whilst Carragher has an annoying accent - his insight should make up for it. Once he gets used to it. I liked the fact that he swore in relation to Cisse 'all that cr@p with the shirt'. Whilst hardly a massive clanger - I'm sure that's not a well used word across the Sky Sports platforms!
  3. As the first game of the season, on the face of it - this game should sell out no problem. We're also on the back of so many positive stories for the club: - Rickie called up for England - Record signings home debuts - Win last week - 4 academy players in first XI If it doesn't, then you can only point to the ticket pricing and the fact you can watch the game in a shedload of pubs around the city, or at home if you wish...
  4. Exactly what I was going to say! Plus, didn't he walk along a white line according to him?!
  5. There's no place for objectivity on this forum, scotty. Get with the programme!
  6. I noticed this too. Certainly not the same way he celebrated scoring for us...
  7. I received an email out of the blue from a guy from Nigeria who wanted to send me $6M of embezzled funds. I jumped at the chance. He's only had a few obstacles to get over, had to pay a few thousand for an affadavit and a couple more for bribes etc. I'm all in for £10k at the moment, but I'll be laughing when I get my hands on that $6M - suckers!!
  8. You're right. This thread pretty much does sum up this forum, or maybe it's football fans in general. I certainly hear a majority of ****** at the stadium too. I'm all up for supporting your team and giving credit where credit is due, but some reality and/or realisation of the bigger picture needs to be present. This actually reminded me of when there were a voice of our fans claiming we were a bigger club than Spurs, as we'd finished above them a couple of times (when we finished 8th). Delusional.
  9. It's still mental. If our central midfield really was better than the title winning side of last season, then the cream of European football would have been after Morgan and Cork and we wouldn't have been able to keep them.... Don't come back to me with Morgans stats. I know how good they were. When he's up there, for 3 or 4 seasons and still playing for us - then we can have the debate..
  10. This thread is mental. Can we have a poll? If even 30% of people think that our midfield is better than Utd's, then I'll know never to come back on this forum again. Clueless, and people wonder why the WUMs are so prevalent?! It's because you give them gems like this, time and time again...
  11. Certainly could be worse. What will Pompey be? 'Pompey Bell-ends'?
  12. Well done Rickie. I was sure he'd never get a call-up, but I was wrong...
  13. I agree with this, but I hope the fans remember this attitude when Shaw and Morgan demand moves in the future. Loyalty is dead in football and you can't expect it both ways.
  14. The Secret Footballer has announced he may have a Secret Referee on board soon to start spilling some beans from inside the game, just like he does. This article has a little snippet from a chat he's had with him, and this quote from Scudamore is a complete joke: http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/13015/referees-told-to-respect-premier-league-brand/ The article is well worth reading, but as the SF says himself - it's hard enough to win at places like Old Trafford as it is, without this sort of bias. Unless there's some kind of turnaround, football is heading for a massive crash and burn at some point. It'll take a long while, but you can't advocate promoting a brand over competition. It'll make the game a farce.
  15. How much motivation do you think it takes to be in the starting XI for a Premier League team that has about 4/5 players that could play in your position? Not to mention other factors of improving your career, or that you've spent your entire life being motivated to reach a level that a very small percentage of participants ever reach? Sorry meant to quote Colin's post...
  16. The day we had a player sustain a cracked skull for acting like a bellend in a nightclub - I knew we were going straight to the top. When you have that calibre of player, the Premier League is the only place to be...
  17. As Chelsea paid £10m (rising to £17m) for Lukaku, I would suggest they'd want more than £15m. Considering he has 3 years on his contract and the goals he scored last year, they'd want closer to £20m, and then he'd have to want to come here. One season at a club like WBA is fine, but Europe is where he probably wants to play...
  18. Very interesting, cheers. Looks like Wimbledon missed a trick here. All they needed to do to stop the move Milton Keynes was to go and knife a club legend and/or chairman.
  19. Blimey. Any news on how? Just reading Wikipedia, turns out he married Cleba Chala's daughter...
  20. Why? You decide to live in Bristol. It's not the club's fault you've decided to move, or if you've always lived there - decided to support a club miles away. Should the club fund all ex-pats whenever they fancy watching a game?
  21. Go on then, name me 30 England players that weren't in the past squad that could perform better on the national stage. I very much doubt you can...

  23. Didn't we only just recently finish paying this off? Think I read it somewhere.
  24. When do you go? I went last September and was looking forward to seeing no Coca-Cola, yet it was everywhere! I was mildy disappointed.
  25. Varadero is fantastic for the beach holidays, and there are quite a few things to do locally. I did 3 days in Havana and then 11 in Varadero, it was an amazing holiday. You absolutely have to go to Havana, it is a very unique place, and I don't think you'd get a sense of Cuba unless you went there.
