  1. 2nd Practice complete and Webber heads Alonso and Hamilton. Not much in it though. We could be in for a good race!! Looking at the track (though I've not seen much of it) it does look like it could provide some excitement. Dirt and dust could prove to be a problem as there seems to be quite a lot of it about on the "moonscape" that surrounds the asphalt. Here's hoping for a McLaren 1-2!! (Though I can't see it happening) OOO
  2. Used to use the one at richmond house. Not too bad a walk distance wise. Now it varies.
  3. Having been sat with the home lot today can def say they hate rickie lambert! We were poor today and looked very unlikely to score. They jst seemed to get men behind the ball the whole time. 11 mins injury time seemed to drag on and on! Ricky concussed according to local radio. Credit to the travelling fans. Sounded good from where I was. OOO
  4. At the rope walk pub next to the ground. Fair few saints shirts dotted about. Worst bit is I'm with the mrs' town supporting family!
  5. Gutted my flight didn't get in till 2 as I was planning on going to this!! Sounds like a good result to me!! Things are looking up!!!
  6. Jst got back from sea so going to this one. But have agreed to go with the mrs' brother and dad who are town fans. We better bloody win!!!
  7. Neville Southall was has mainly managed at non-league level (not sure if he has ever had a league club)
  8. Middle of the Atlantic or middle of the Pacific are probably the most remote for me. But again using satellite communications it's not that impressive these days as it once might have been. Occaisionally if I am very bored on watch I might try picking up world service for the results. There was a Kenyan West Brom fan who would be on most weeks giving his views who was always quite entertaining. Not sure if he still turns up though.
  9. I'm in the States again today and can confirm that no-one over here thinks that Bob Bradley (USA boss) will be taking the job. In fact having asked at least 3 Americans in a bar none of them had any thoughts on the subject. I did ask a Lieutenant Kev of the NYPD a couple of days ago. He suggested David Beckham.
  10. Appologies of already posted but this article by the Telgraph mentiones that his famliy have indicated that they want to take us to the Premiership and will provide investment http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/7939635/Southampton-owner-Markus-Liebherr-dies.html
  11. Just logged on via Satellite for the first time in a while and read this. Truely Shocked RIP Markus. Thank you for everthing you have done for this clube. You will be missed and always rememberd.
  12. I like that. Will be getting both that one and the home one when the ship gets back to the UK
  13. That'll make rob green feel a but better. Could really do with a draw here.
  14. I know what you mean. However I did get a number of txt's from people who are normally ABE's (welsh, Scottish and Irish) who were supporting us last night as they hate the yanks even more than us! Suspect they'll be Algerian or slovenian over the next 2 games though.
  15. Pretty sure it is England in White. Yanks wanted to wear their sash kit which is similar to their 1950's kit when they beat us. However they've been told they can't as it's White.
  16. Those horns just don't stop!! Wish they would! Greece looking poor.
  17. Well here is where it all begins. Coverage has just started on itv1. Wonder what the south Africans will come up with?
  18. Just seen on London today that there is a big screen in trafalgar square for a world cup party during the month. Not sure if it is showing games
  19. I like that. Well done design team!
  20. Apart from Surman?
  21. And yet when I speculated that there might be a delay after the "few days announcement" I got nothing but greif!
  22. Republic of Ireland. It is actually owned by the "Free Gaza" movements Irish arm but registered in Cambodia (most definatly a Flag of Convienience) The Irish government said on 1st June that they wanted it let through. The Irish Taoiseach Brian Cowen TD said "If any harm comes to any of our citizens, it will have the most serious consequences". The demand for safe passage was reiterated by Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin TD on 2 June 2010. Mr Martin warned the Israelis he would take "appropriate diplomatic action" if the ship was not allowed through. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jun/01/irish-aid-boat-gaza-israel-warning
  23. You're right they have. And the BBC have updated their homepage http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/10245176.stm Irish owned ship this time.
  24. unless it alters course and heads to a port in Israel they have said they will board it http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/10244301.stm
  25. I'd never heard of it so googled it. Reading its Wikipedia page it reminds me a lot of Operation Goodguys which was on BB2 in the late 90's. Regarding other fakes, wasn't William Shatner in one where he pretended to film a sci-fi film in a small american town?
