  1. Murty referring to us as "we". Good lad.
  2. Nice touch. Ive gone for cottage pie.
  3. Commentator reckons Ormerod's being largely cheered and Euell booed. No surprises there then...
  4. Surprised Fonte isnt playing as he'd have kept Euell and Brett in his back pocket with his eyes closed. Confident we have got enough to do a job on them still. Really surprised Puncheon is playing but hopefully he's brought his Millwall form with him.
  5. Bless his cotton socks, poor little sausage. No way i can feel sorry for him but cant really blame him for going where the money is either. I'd stop watching football for £90k a week, let alone play it!
  6. For the record I agree and that stat doesnt surprise me at all. Jaidi is handy for some games at this level but Seabourne is also a much better talker. He is still relatively young also and will only get better.
  7. I have a feeling Colly will stick around for a while. He needs to and usually does when he's in this kind of position. Cook's just ran on to 99 as I type this. The boy is class. And he's out!!! Haha unbelievable. England are referring...... CHEATING AUSSIE BARRRSTARDS!!!!
  8. Thing is Holloway is surely going to be forced to rest a few of his players and their B team really isnt that good. I personally think we will turn them over.
  9. And us Southampton fans took the news of Stuart Gray and Steve Wigley managing us so graciously didnt we? The difference being Hughton got on with the job, gained player loyalty and got results which earned the respect of the Newcastle fans. I dare say had Wigley or Gray done the same we would have got behind them as well.
  10. That's also a cracker. Pretty sure thats the one where Southampton are one of the better teams with Niemi, Claus, Svensson, Marsden, Tessem, Bridge, Oakley, Fernandes, Pahars, Beattie etc... all absolute quality for us. I think I actually have that version somewhere...
  11. Hi All, Does anyone know if there is somewhere I can download this game? I fancy going old school and whilst I like the newer, more details version of the game, I quite fancy playing a game where you can get through 2 seasons in a day. I also want to play a game where Erik Nevland, Tommy Svindal Larsen and Jermaine Wright were king.
  12. Not exactly the fans fault. IN my opinion this could actually indirectly work to Saints' benefit. Lee Clark is Newcastle-daft and him moving there would harm Huddersfield promotion challenge in my opinion.
  13. I'm not interested unless he's got a long throw-in like Rory Delap.
  14. didnt it say "Please Hod Pick Le God"?
  15. ... For Sweden perhaps.
  16. Newcastle home or away on a Saturday please.
  17. The sentiment you are making, if true, would be correct but it isnt. If it was how could Southampton pick up kids for their academy in places like Bath and Bristol? Also my nephew plays for Southampton academy having turned down the likes of Pompey, Reading, Fulham and Chelsea. He actually went to Cobham and played a few games for Chelsea kids before opting for his beloved Saints. One of the major drawbacks of playing for an academy like Chelsea is they collect kids like they are going out of fashion. The squad for Chelsea's under 11's team has about 25 kids in it, meaning kids get 1 quarter a game playing time which is 20 minutes and much less time spent of coaching them individually.
  18. Eh? Jermain Colin Defoe (£15m, Portsmouth) Wilson Roberto Palacios Suazo (£12m, Wigan) Pascal Chimbonda (£2.5m, Sunderland) Robert David Keane (£12m, Liverpool) Peter James Crouch (undisclosed, Portsmouth) - wasnt it about £11m? Kyle Walker (undisclosed, Sheffield United) - thought to be around £3m Kyle Naughton (undisclosed, Sheffield United) - thought to be around £3.5m Sébastien Aymar Bassong Nguena (undisclosed, Newcastle United) - thought to be around £8m Younes Kaboul (undisclosed, Portsmouth) - thought to be around £7m Rafael Van Der Vaart (£9m, Real Madrid) Around £83m He's made around £19m by way of sales by my records. If that's not spending, I'd like to see what is. He's a cheque book record with a great record in the transfer market, but it doesnt stop him being a chequebook manager.
  19. Gerrar's main problem is his ill-discipline speaking from a positional point of view. Fact is he chases everything all game long which see's him pulled out of position time and time again. Because of this, occasionally he does influence a game and we all talk about this and remember this but I've watched a lot more games recently where it's actually been a hinderance to Liverpool rather than helping them. He is also a serial diver and I am amazed this doesnt get picked up on more by the media. Every time Liverpool are losing at Anfield he'll collapse in the box over and over until he wins a penalty which inevitably he does. Speaking from England's point of view, if we persist in passing between the centre backs and then blindly lumping a long ball forward we will never win anything. The most exciting thing about Andy Carroll is the lad can play. Yes, he's a big boy and England should make the most of his aerial prowess from set pieces but this shouldnt be out only tactic during a game. If it is, at least get the ball wide and whip some dangerous crosses in. We did this once for him against France and even that was a poor cross which he did well to get an effort on target from. I hate him too but you do feel if Redknapp was manager he would get the best out of whats available. We might not play like Arsenal, Spain, Brazil or Barcelona but he would play quick wingers, solid defence and actually take the game to sides. The sooner Capello jogs on the better. He's obviously a good manager at club level but that doesnt always make a great international manager.
  20. I'm surprised no-one has come up with a song about Lallana to the tune of La Bamba.
  21. yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!
  22. That Nuno Gomes who played for Portugal would get ruined too... She was lush.
  23. The young filly who took on van barneveld in the grand slam of darts yesterday was quite something also.
  24. Now THAT I agree with. So wrong but so, so right at the same time.
  25. Joseph Mills?
