Ossie could never be regarded as a journeyman, assuming you know what the term means (clue, it has nothing to do with number of clubs). He was a master craftsman. His legs had gone when he joined us but developed a style of play that involved little or no running but his passing ability was second to none. Much admired and great favourite at the time. One of the few players to be revered at more than one club, a legend for Chelsea and Saints.

Not true, though I know what you mean. Sims, Jones, Hesketh and Flannigan are back and Barnes could now be added. Nothing of great merit there but giving Ralph some more options.

Mixed feelings, I've been one of his fiercest critics, has been so bad. But I still think that one day he will be very good. Problem for Hesketh is that not only is he cup tied but he would also need a PL squad place I think (he's 22). That relies on removing someone else and guess that Barnes is ahead of him in that queue.
