Silly reply, Gazzanigga has not conceded a goal in the Premier League this season, nor has Kelvin for that matter. Fact of the matter is that Forster is not great at saves, but has a lot less shots to save than many other keepers. He did make 2 saves today, later on in the game, though neither were what could be termed moderately difficult. Still we are not allowed to criticise, he is after all the best keeper in the PL.
-
Did he? His old man was the cause and advised AOC, but I don't recall anything bad about AOC's behaviour or how he treated us.
-
Wow, that's a new one, 6 years and 8 months now he has been linked with Arse (maybe longer).
-
Like you I suspect he knew that he was not part of the future at Saints, after all he was almost out the door last January. My point was though why do people think we are saying "goodbye" to him. It seems quite clear to me that he will be back again next season, but in all likelihood it won't be in a Liverpool shirt, whether it is as a Villain or with someone else (Bompey maybe?) remains to be seen but I really don't think Sunday will be a matter of bidding a fond farewell to SRL. Sadly I don't expect he will even get on the pitch, since Brenda clearly doesn't rate him and (as with us) he really doesn't suit Liverpool's style of play.

Yes, but clearly not in the squad, as was stated when he made his first start for the u21s, he has to have a few games with them first.
-
Shane Long also back in training, that seems quicker than originally expected. So looks like we are without Toby, Bertrand, JRod and Gallagher only. Getting closer to full squad again.
-
Why? He apparently turned down a 2.5 year deal to join Villa in January because he needed more time to consider it (according to the Sun). Seems like he isn't so desperate to carry on at Liverpool now after he made his dream move.
-
Its a strategy to deal with something he won't like. Its nothing to do with arrogance. Having a strategy in mind to deal with it also indicates he really isn't an idiot. Hopefully the boos etc will not last long, it would be better to ignore him.

Not sure if Disney would sack someone in their organisation for some minor offence to a couple of Saints "fans". Wreck-it Ralph is a well loved character who makes the Disney Corp a whole load of money and who ultimately is the hero, so you should not really take offence at the name, since Ralph allegedly seems to be the hero of the hour at the moment (allegedly because I have never seen the movie].

Rodriguez given the all-clear and set to return next month
VectisSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That would be the 32 (or 35) year old ex-Skate who was on 150k Euros per month in 2012. Yep, fits in well with our Philoshophy. -
Sorry, you are really saying that Lovern is better than Toby? All the evidence at Liverpool this season has shown that Lovern was really not very good, without Fonte, Morgan and VW he has been shown up as out of his depth (he was often shown up last season by Jose as well, especilly in second half of season). As for Lallana, well we have replaced, at times Tadic has looked as good, but not since end of last year.

Probably this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-31469145

Jaaskelainen is just as likely to have kept a clean sheet as Adrien. Must be great to have such a good backup keeper on the bench.

Uprising (the chorus), Knights of Cydonia would be better, but it is very good. Problem is that getting an atmosphere going is not aboutplaying music, its about people being in their seats (or standing) 10-15 minutes beforehand and making a lot of noise. But doesn't happen with modern football, people are too busy trying to get another drink of fizzy **** or cardboard burger rather than getting into the ground early to get some atmo going. So the Club, like others play music to try to get something going. The music we play is pretty good (most impressed with the person that got Smoke on the Water included), but in the end no music will ever create an atmosphere (unless we are Liverpool).
-
Safety hazard. With the numpties we have at St Mary's who can't even get to their seats by the time the game kicks off, it would be carnage on the stairways (OK, I was late on Wednesday, but only due to traffic).

Saints' future success may be coming from.. the class of 95.....
VectisSaint replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Scholes was not amongst the players that won the Youth Cup in 92, despite this he is considered part of the Class of 92 for some reason. They gloss over the fact that another member was Lily Savage (or was it robbie?) -
They're better without old man Gerrard anyway, so not really good news.
-
Same here, absolute nightmare. That was after terrible journey to the game in the first place (sounds like West Ham were caught up in the traffic as well). The M3 and M27 is just ridiculous, did they really need to start preparing for roadworks at around 10pm last night on a night when it was clear it was going to be very busy? Really beginning to wonder whether going to midweek game is worth it any more. Southampton also seems to have the worst traffic lights anywhere in the country.

Posted yesterday on the Mirror: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southamptons-disastrous-record-transfer-dani-5147054 Also Boruc wants to stay with Boscombe in the PL.

I really think Sherwood should be the manager at Forest.

Probably something to do with their different positions. Much harder to blood a young CB in 1st team in PL, than a left/right back or midfielder. Putting the pair of them in a good footballing team like Swindon and them being first choice has given them the opportunity to gain valuable experience not just individually but as a pair, working together learning each other's game. I've seen them a few times now (on TV) and they are both very good at this level. Wouldn't surprise me if their loans continued next season especially if Swindon get promoted to Championship (which they should do either directly or via play-offs). The Club must see them as longer term, unlikely to push out Fonte, Yoshi or Florin (and hopefully Toby as well), but another year or so and they should be ready.
-
We played our 3rd choice LB who is also our 3rd choice CB. I know we were not in trouble. Just pointing out that if anything happens tonight to any of our defenders we don't have anyone on the bench to take their place. We also don't have u21s coming through, other than McCarthy, except for two good ones who are on loan and doing very well at Swindon. Its not a problem if everything goes well, we have been lucky so far that we have managed to cope, what if our luck runs out?
-
Yes it would have an effect, but "most teams" in the top half of the PL would not have no defenders left (or as in our case 1 youngster with 1 league appearance to his name). Very promising youngster mind you. Sorry if pointing out that we are down to the bare bones does not suit your "everything is rosy" outlook.
-
Assuming that Yoshi plays LB tonight it will be interesting to see what defensive backup we will have on the bench, if any. As far as I can tell the only defender available who is not already slated for a starting place is young McCarthy. We don't even really have the luxury of dropping Wanyama into the defensive line if something happens to one of our recognised defenders, given that Morgan is likely to be unavailable (and we have dispensed with the services of Jack Cork). I guess Steve Davis could drop back into one of the full back berths in an emergency. Once again the lack of depth in our squad is being shown up, lets hope we can get away with it once again.
