  1. You are right about our creativity, but so wrong in thinking that a new striker would not change anything.
  2. You still don't seem to be able to get your facts right about Paul Scholes. As posted earlier Scholes made his league debut before he was 20 (24 Sep 1994, he was born 16 Nov 1994), made 25 appearances that season, scoring 5 times in total. So before his 20th birthday he had already scored more PL goals than Prowsey. If Prowesy can score 5 PL goals before then end of this season then I will be well impressed.
  3. He was saying otherwise until the Palace press conference. Then he seems to have changed his mind. Hope he changes his mind again, because its so obvious we needed a striker even before Long's injury today.
  4. So who is responsible for identifying the next director of football when Les leaves? It is surely inevitable that eventually someone will poach Uncle Les.
  5. Well strictly speaking he didn't. They were relegated to 2nd division before he joined, and he left in the March before they were relegated again to the 3rd division. But you're right, he was the highest paid manager in English football, so yes of course he left for the money.
  6. So injury was not so bad after all
  7. He mentioned Morgan, but he didn't talk about Pelle, Tadic, Forster or Davis, guess they are off as well.
  8. One thing JWP is not "quick". It is something he really needs to work on, if possible. Maybe a result of his injury this season. We jokingly call him Captain Slow.
  9. Agreed, most thinking people could see that Shaw was perfectly replaceable, at least in the short term. In the long term Shaw may well develop into being a better full back than Bertrand, but that is still debatable, he has certainly not shown that to be the case thus far at OT. He remains a great prospect, nothing more, but with a very large price tag on his head to add to the pressure of a young player.

Quite a shock really, japan completely dominated, 67% possession, 28 shots to 4, 9-3 on target. They will be gutted. But at least we get Yoshi back a bit sooner.
  11. This is actually only part of what Ron said. He also said as part of the same answer "If Jack like to stay I am very happy". He also said they would like to know his decision next week, there is a difference, maybe subtle between liking to know and wanting to know. Of course they would like to know, planning for next season is bound to be well underway by now, its not unreasonable for the club to want to know Jack's intentions. I can only guess that Jack has a serious offer from one or more clubs, he isn't going to turn down a new contract unless he has some viable alternative.

  13. Unlikely to ever be a top goal scorer.
  14. We now know that the reason Sam hasn't played is that he has been waiting for new Adidas #F50 boots to be supplied. Posted on Twitter today that they have finally arrived and he can't wait to start playing in them. If I knew how to post a twitter tweet thingy here I would. Apparently Luke Shaw had the same problem, hence why he has not played (much) for Man Utd. The boots have red and white stripes on the tongue, appropriate for Sam, not so for Nandos Shaw.
  15. He has only played for Inter. Juve was so last season.
  16. Who needs a replica, the original is so much better.
  17. Given Morgan's name has 5 syllables and Toby's has 6, not sure how both can fit well. Also surprised you are suggesting a song for Morgan when you think so highly of him.
  18. Part-time I suppose, just in the afternoon.
  19. I guess his "disappearance" could be due to him going to Southampton to try to resolve things. After all we do still actually hold his registration, i.e. he's still our problem. Anyone at Eastleigh monitoring arrivals?
  20. Though if you have read them then you will find this: "I have tried to pull this information together from various sources, but I am not 100 percent sure I am right about everything." basically because its all bloody confusing and not as clear-cut as it used to be or should be.
  21. Would Man City sanction a transfer to a rival?
  22. St Paddy's is 17th March this year. I think its bad news because we are often **** when we have an early kick-off.
  23. Swansea game is already close to selling out. There are generally only singles available in all blocks apart from Blocks 43 and 01/02.
  24. Dad [RIP] supported Pompey (he was in the RN), so stands to reason I supported Saints. To be fair to the old man, he took me to my first game in 1967 (Chelsea home, lost 3-5), teamed me up with some others from the Island and told me he would never set foot in the place (The Dell) again. He was true to his word. odd thing was that after dad passed away I was following up on family history and found that his grandmother was born in St Marys (Bullar Road) and that his Grandfather once ran the Antelope Hotel when Saints played at the Antelope ground. dad had far more in common with Southampton than ever he would with Pompey.
