As Whitey says, he was on the bench today. Boscombe made 8 changes, obviously prioritising on the League.
-
Has he missed any matches through injury this season? Forster's kicking is far far better than Boruc. Otherwise there is little to choose between the two, though I would say Boruc's shot-stopping last season was better.
-
If he's a "massive Saints fan" he would not even consider going to Spurs.
-
That would be hard boiled rather than poached
-
Sounds more like a replacement for Uncle Les. Perhaps Les has been poached.

Player of the season for us in 2007/08. To be fair he didn't come through our youth ranks, which was the point of David's post.
-
I guess you did not see Mayuka getting injured in the ACON then. Even if he was any good (which he isn't) unlikely he will be back any time soon. Why do you think Gallagher is almost back, no sign of him in training videos/photos?
-
So it was. Well he's been poor since then-ish
-
He has been poor since that night in Serbia when the Albanian drone arrived, with only very occasional flashes of his previous form. I'm not convinced its just down to poor form.
-
Its not really a gamble, its protecting our investment. I can understand at the start of the season the belief was that JRod and Gallagher would be back by now, going forward with just Pelle and Long was not too big a risk, but now with Long injured as well as no imminent return for the other two, it is just plain daft to go into another 16 games when we have a good chance of qualifying for Europe without investment up front.

Check the Black Box. Do you really think that there is no-one lined up as a possible option? What would you do if Graz was injured as well? Its what our club philosophy is based on, why we were able to get players in last summer. Of course if the Black Box says "no" then maybe we are ****ged, because we will certainly be very lucky to achieve our goals unless we do something now that we have only one recognised senior striker fit to play.
-
You are right about our creativity, but so wrong in thinking that a new striker would not change anything.
-
You still don't seem to be able to get your facts right about Paul Scholes. As posted earlier Scholes made his league debut before he was 20 (24 Sep 1994, he was born 16 Nov 1994), made 25 appearances that season, scoring 5 times in total. So before his 20th birthday he had already scored more PL goals than Prowsey. If Prowesy can score 5 PL goals before then end of this season then I will be well impressed.
-
He was saying otherwise until the Palace press conference. Then he seems to have changed his mind. Hope he changes his mind again, because its so obvious we needed a striker even before Long's injury today.
-
Well strictly speaking he didn't. They were relegated to 2nd division before he joined, and he left in the March before they were relegated again to the 3rd division. But you're right, he was the highest paid manager in English football, so yes of course he left for the money.
-
So injury was not so bad after all
-
He mentioned Morgan, but he didn't talk about Pelle, Tadic, Forster or Davis, guess they are off as well.
-
One thing JWP is not "quick". It is something he really needs to work on, if possible. Maybe a result of his injury this season. We jokingly call him Captain Slow.

Agreed, most thinking people could see that Shaw was perfectly replaceable, at least in the short term. In the long term Shaw may well develop into being a better full back than Bertrand, but that is still debatable, he has certainly not shown that to be the case thus far at OT. He remains a great prospect, nothing more, but with a very large price tag on his head to add to the pressure of a young player.
-
Quite a shock really, japan completely dominated, 67% possession, 28 shots to 4, 9-3 on target. They will be gutted. But at least we get Yoshi back a bit sooner.

This is actually only part of what Ron said. He also said as part of the same answer "If Jack like to stay I am very happy". He also said they would like to know his decision next week, there is a difference, maybe subtle between liking to know and wanting to know. Of course they would like to know, planning for next season is bound to be well underway by now, its not unreasonable for the club to want to know Jack's intentions. I can only guess that Jack has a serious offer from one or more clubs, he isn't going to turn down a new contract unless he has some viable alternative.
