So he did contribute to the team's FA Cup success this season - 3 starts, 1 sub, 1 assist, 295 minutes. There have been plenty of players who have received FA Cup winners medals for a lot less (and there are plenty who failed to get one for a lot more in the good old days)

Gaston has never been regular first choice for Uruguay. He has 34 caps, but has only started in 11 of them, and only played the full 90' in 2 of those. We saw potential for an exciting AM who showed up well at the Olympics playing for the U23s.

How can anyone seriously think Pardew could be manager of THE SEASON? The Season includes his time at Newcastle, not just at Palace. Half a season at Newcastle where he was singularly unsuccessful (though clearly better than Carver). For me, the odious Mourinho is the obvious choice, but otherwise toss up between Koeman and Monk.

Last day of season is next weekend when FA Cup final is played. So, as I said, transfer window is not yet officially open. Even then officially this is only for transfers within England. Goodnight Irene, hopefully Gazzanigga is not u21 keeper, he is already 23, but has been playing for u21s as over age keeper/player. Isted/Britt will probably be u21 keeper(s) next season unless we still need to give Gazza some match practice. I still think that Gazza will be shipped out, either transferred or maybe on loan. His body language after the Villa game suggested to me at least that he was taking in the atmosphere at his final appearance at SMS.
