  1. Some people still don't get it. Of course he's doing alright, because we have the best defence and defensive midfield that stops him having to save shots. Why do we need to "give him a break". He really isn't very good at stopping shots (except for one against QPR which apparently was "unbelievable" and makes him Lev Yashin reincarnated).
  2. Having watched the replay it was still a foul and should have been a penalty. Whether Filip goes down or not is irrelevant, you cannot pull someone back which is what Can did by grabbing his shoulder. Granted it was not the worst, but it was still a penalty.
  3. Give you that having watched the replay. Live it looked soft, and it still was not as bad as many that went unpunished. Still as I said Lovren deserved to be booked anyway for being a cock.
  4. Funny thing was yesterday, I missed the team announcements and was looking at the team list on the big screen in the first few seconds after kick off and noted quite clearly that it included Gardos, Yoshida and Fonte, so assumed we were going 3-5-2, took me a minute or so to realise that Gardos was not on the pitch (yeah I know he's hard to miss but we were attacking), turned to my neighbour to say about 3-5-2 and looked back and screen had been changed.
  5. Ref yesterday would have disallowed goals and brought play back for penalty to be taken. He would probably then have delayed the taking of the penalty to allow Mignolet to pick his nose and Skate Johnson to pull his socks up and then sent our pen taker off for time wasting. The problem yesterday really was not just the penalties and the handball that he missed (and even the Liverpool penalty shout) but the number of bad, blatant fouls, especially by Can who should not have been on the pitch by this time, that were not given. I have seen some very bad refereeing in my time (and especially this season) but yesterday I felt standard fell to an all time low. I'm also sure that Lovren's booking probably did not warrant a booking, i think he just booked him because his name was Lovren, and well deserved on that front it was too.
  6. There's always an exception to every rule. He has played 30 games this season and you manage to find the one time when he made a point saving save. Well done you.
  7. This. Lots of absolute ******** talked about the lack of service. There is not much lack of service, its no good playing a ball into a good area as happened several times yesterday while Pelle is lumbering along 10 yards behind play. He only won one header yesterday that I saw, late on in the game, against a poor set of central defenders, and his hold up play which many claim to be one of his finest assets was non-existent. One great pass in the first minute, after that zilch. He has become a liability. I know he can be better (he can be great), but he has believed the hype and now he has (temporarily) forgotten how to do the simple things that got him where he is.
  8. Ron was 100% correct to take action, but I feel he was 100% wrong in the action he took. He should have taken this back to the training ground AND fined him. Dirty washing should be dealt with behind closed doors and so that it does not affect that team and the plans that were in place.
  9. Well done at missing the point completely. Noodles was talking about the new board, you know, the one that came in last year (2014). Seems quite reasonable to me that at the time when they came in the new board were not able to provide assurances about their future intentions and that they were going to push forward for CL qualification. Where Noodles falls over is that he thinks that was a situation that did not change later. the Board obviously did (later) push on and restated their ambition, but by then it was too late for Poch and Lala who had made their intentions clear based on the lack of assurances when the new board first took over, instead of having the patience to find out what would happen once they had been in place for a while. All that said, I'm really very glad that we made Poch decide about leaving, the upgrade to RK is one of the best things that came out of last years upheaval. Couldn't give a monkeys about Lalla, he showed yesterday that he really is ineffectual, and we used the money we got for him wisely, although his replacements have looked as ineffectual as Lalla yesterday.
  10. The thing is Lovren got abused at Anfield back in August. LaLa was injured that day, so pent up since then.
  11. Minutes 1,3 and 26 to paraphrase someone else. Forgot about Pelle's brilliant pass to Filip in the 1st minute, I've given him stick elsewhere but have to agree that was very good.
  12. What is a mouth fall? Quite honestly there were a few players out there today who deserved to be called whatever anyone wanted. Pelle was a donkey (with apologies to donkeys who on the whole are generally hard working), but I guess that doesn't get the swear filter activated.
  13. Its harsh to have a go at a youngster, but sadly the above is all completely true, and has been evident for some time. Added to that he is now also failing to deliver a decent dead ball either from a corner or free kick which was to some extent his saving grace, and you really do have to wonder why he continues to be picked. He should have come off first today and moved Davis forward to his best position.
  14. Silly reply, Gazzanigga has not conceded a goal in the Premier League this season, nor has Kelvin for that matter. Fact of the matter is that Forster is not great at saves, but has a lot less shots to save than many other keepers. He did make 2 saves today, later on in the game, though neither were what could be termed moderately difficult. Still we are not allowed to criticise, he is after all the best keeper in the PL.
  15. Did he? His old man was the cause and advised AOC, but I don't recall anything bad about AOC's behaviour or how he treated us.
  16. Wow, that's a new one, 6 years and 8 months now he has been linked with Arse (maybe longer).
  17. Like you I suspect he knew that he was not part of the future at Saints, after all he was almost out the door last January. My point was though why do people think we are saying "goodbye" to him. It seems quite clear to me that he will be back again next season, but in all likelihood it won't be in a Liverpool shirt, whether it is as a Villain or with someone else (Bompey maybe?) remains to be seen but I really don't think Sunday will be a matter of bidding a fond farewell to SRL. Sadly I don't expect he will even get on the pitch, since Brenda clearly doesn't rate him and (as with us) he really doesn't suit Liverpool's style of play.
  18. Yes, but clearly not in the squad, as was stated when he made his first start for the u21s, he has to have a few games with them first.
  19. Shane Long also back in training, that seems quicker than originally expected. So looks like we are without Toby, Bertrand, JRod and Gallagher only. Getting closer to full squad again.
  20. Why? He apparently turned down a 2.5 year deal to join Villa in January because he needed more time to consider it (according to the Sun). Seems like he isn't so desperate to carry on at Liverpool now after he made his dream move.
  21. Its a strategy to deal with something he won't like. Its nothing to do with arrogance. Having a strategy in mind to deal with it also indicates he really isn't an idiot. Hopefully the boos etc will not last long, it would be better to ignore him.
  22. Not sure if Disney would sack someone in their organisation for some minor offence to a couple of Saints "fans". Wreck-it Ralph is a well loved character who makes the Disney Corp a whole load of money and who ultimately is the hero, so you should not really take offence at the name, since Ralph allegedly seems to be the hero of the hour at the moment (allegedly because I have never seen the movie].
  23. That would be the 32 (or 35) year old ex-Skate who was on 150k Euros per month in 2012. Yep, fits in well with our Philoshophy.
  24. Sorry, you are really saying that Lovern is better than Toby? All the evidence at Liverpool this season has shown that Lovern was really not very good, without Fonte, Morgan and VW he has been shown up as out of his depth (he was often shown up last season by Jose as well, especilly in second half of season). As for Lallana, well we have replaced, at times Tadic has looked as good, but not since end of last year.
  25. Probably this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-31469145
