  1. He made 7 appearances evidently, not sure how many were starts/subs.
  2. I really don't think Markus would be offended by such a thread, he was above all a successful business man, and would have been thinking the same if it had been someone else. The fact of the matter is that Swiss Inheritance Law is very different to what we understand in this country. As of right now the entire Estate is owned fully by his family, in a very tightly defined manner (as I am not sure of his precise family situation I won't add more). Hopefully he will have made provision for what happens next, but it is a matter of fact that it is the family that moves matters forward (it is referred to I believe as "forced heirship"). More information available at http://geneva.angloinfo.com/countries/switzerland/wills.asp RIP Markus.
  3. Joined Jan 2009, brought in by one of the Agents Orange, don't recall which it was, by April he had gone again as his loan was cut short.
  4. Beat me to it, was just posting my condolences on the main thread then was going to post this. Making his full debut, how on earth did we lose a clearly quite good player like this?
  5. What a shock, and such sad news, a man that none of us knew, but we all took to our hearts, not just because he saved the club, but because he so clearly loved his football and loved Saints. Following on from the tragic news of Adam Stansfield, this is truly a sad day for real football. A year ago Markus gave me the best birthday present imaginable, difficult to think that 13 months on he is no longer with us. RIP Saint Markus.
  6. I predict Concrete Cows 1 North of Cowes 3 Prefer to see DC ahead of Barnard if RL is playing. We know DC and RL can work together as they showed early last season.
  7. Why are there tits in this picture?
  8. Agreed, never buy one, hardly ever read one. I assume that number is "per week", so divide by 6 roughly would make sense perhaps.
  9. Is Lallana wearing a hat?
  10. He hasn't played as a striker for them for some time. He converted to RB a while ago and that is now his position. Surprised he is not getting booed as a Skate, although in his defence he is a Cowes boy, so probably only played for the Skates under duress :-)
  11. Circulation of the main 11 Dailies was about 10 mill in March. Find it hard to believe though
  12. Doubt that, more likely not able to risk DC 3 times in 8 days. DC was by far the better of the two on Saturday (and just about every other time IMHO). Not convinced by LB at all I'm afraid, whereas DC is class. So where has this lad Garrod suddenly appeared from, thought Doble was #4 striker. Presumably Spiderman and Jaidi are nursing knocks. Hope that Punch can do better tonight, he was appalling on Saturday so wouln't be too difficult.
  13. He wouldn't be far wrong in your case would he, certainly on the whinging front. I'll let others confirm or otherwise if you are a tossar (sp) or not.
  14. Oh FFS Alps, that was a joke (you do know what a joke is I assume) based on the continual whinging about NC by certain people on this message board. I am very supportive of NC if you must know. Perhaps I should have added a smiley, but prefer not to bring my posts down to the kiddy level too often. In any case why should the Club not be held to account for providing something that is not what is advertised? After all you chide them often enough for not providing football which they advertise (another joke). If you offer to provide a copy of the matchday programme online and do not mention any caveats in your terms and conditions then your customers are entitled to expect what it says on the tin. How does a customer know that the missing pages are only adverts, unless of course said customer also buys the printed version? It is not even particularly obvious until the page numbers are checked. I actually was interested to see the player sponsors, a page specifically noted in the Contents List, and this page was missing. Not a full page advert. Likewise the Team Lists. It seems anyway that the Club may have actually learned something from the initial launch if indeed they are now including "blank" pages where adverts used to be, seems like a reasonable solution to me.
  15. yes they've responded, but not sure why I should share any information with ****s like you. I don't give a feck about the adverts, but if a service is offered providing copies of thr matchday programme thats what should be provided. Its not just adverts anyway, it is also the Player Sponsor and Team List pages. So now, any more sarky little comments?
  16. You really should get out more, perhaps they don't let you out at weekends though
  17. Don't really care whether I see the adverts or not, but maybe the advertisers would not be too pleased that the money that they have spent is not reaching the target audience. Was more annoyed about the player sponsors page and in particular the list of players which is usually on the back page. Still think that if you are sold a product that removing pages willy-nilly is silly
  18. I subscribed like a mug to the online programme scheme, and feel a bit cheated. There are 11 pages missing from the programme that is available online/to download. 11 out of 52!! This includes the list of players, which according to the Contents List is on page 52. The missing pages were 1, 10, 12, 18, 22, 28, 29, 40, 41, 51 & 52. I assume the paper copy for sale at the ground yesterday included these pages, can someone confirm. Have contacted the Club about this, but received no reply, not even acknowledgement. So if you are thinking about subscribing maybe think again. Cortese out !!
  19. Antonio came on as a second half sub as Reading lost. Scott McDonald scored for WGS but Middlesbro still lost. Michael Poke was unused sub for Brighton who won, Pericard was unused sub for Swindon. Surman played for Norwich who lost on Friday of course. Apart from Fitz Hall, about the only other successful Saint yesterday was Scott Bevan who kept another clean sheet for Torquay (thats 8 in a row, though most were by Poke last season) and they now sit top of League 2. Mustn't forget though that many former Saints were not in competitive action yesterday because they are in the Prem - Walcott, Crouch, Beattie, Fuller, Higgy, Bale and not forgetting Brett Ormerod.
  20. Sounded like they were hanging on desparately in the end as Leicester pulled back from 3 down. Possibly due to Burley's continued inability to train and condition players. Its not just Alps that knew that Burley was a **** poor manager, briefly made to look half decent by the excellent Snodin.
  21. We are 9 points better off than at the same stage last year. About the best I can come up with.
  22. Completely out played by Lee Molyneux, he certainly did not look fine, he looked unfit and devoid of ideas.
  23. Rubbish. For the goal he was running towards the ball, and could not turn as quickly as the Argyle player who was facing the other way. Clearly you do not appreciate that the goal was the result of bad defending by I think Fonte and Butters (could have been Jaidi). Did nothing else wrong and was very effective first half with Dickson, I think I tend to agree with the Sky pundits who were saying similar. Pardew took him off to make space for Lallana knowing Dickson could drop back. Pity Pardew did not replace Punch with Chamberlain at the same time.
  24. Apart from being partly at fault for the goal, Harding did nothing wrong, indeed he was probably best player in the 1st half. Goal was not really his fault, it was the failure to deal with the header in the first place. Hammond was poor, did not drive on in MF and his headers were misplaced (though credit for getting into good positions). Did Hammond shoot? Don't recall if he did, Spiderman had couple of shots, as did Lallana, must have missed Hammond shooting. Problem today was Puncheon down the right, we were good down the left.
