Same for me, changed my initial Bournemouth prediction (I think to 2-1) and as a result my prediction was lost altogether, so here I am bottom of the table with nil points, with a game in hand :-( Still, its early days, 40+ games to go, no need to panic, everything is hunky dory in AP we trust (oh, forgot this is the Prediction League not League One).

I liked Antonio, but to hang everything on a player who didn't even come off the bench for Reading yesterday is a bit strange. Actually I think Chamberlain is proving he can be an excellent replacement, but I would welcome Antonio back. Our season going up in smoke has as much if not more to do with our central midfield, strikers and centre back at the moment.

7 We need another striker in the mould of RL so that we can replace him with fresh legs 8 We need to teach Davis how to distribute the ball properly, and how to kick 9 We need to teach Barnard to stop whinging at time wasting by the opposition keeper so that his energy is properly channelled instead of into frustration 10 We need a Plan A!!! -

Strange really, he was actually working very hard trying to make things happen, but other players don't seem to be able to see what he is trying to do and it ends up with DC looking a bit daft. His footballing brain is actually light years ahead of just about anyone else out there. BUt in the end bringing him on with 7 minutes left is utter stupidity, he needs to start or at least to get 20. -

No excuse, doubt he knew it, should have hit the target. The lineo was crap anyway, had no idea what he was doing. -
Just love the thread title, "Rasiak on the move", first time for everything I suppose. Good goal scoring record spoiled by being so lazy, slow & self-centred. Made Stern John look like Billy Whizz.

Cheers, thought there would be something to explain on the online system, not very user friendly. So its the Chapel again, long time since I've been in there, I'll try to keep quiet LOL Thanks for your help WIFM

Sudden change of plans meaning I will be bringing 3 grandkids with me tomorrow Trying to book tickets online but cannot work out which blocks are Family Enclosure these days (never used the family enclosure before). Can anyone help, can't believe how difficult the online system is.

Some people still seem to have got this wrong. It was Cortese who persuaded ML to back him, not the other way around. Cortese was the catalyst, he wasn't brought in by Markus to run the Club.

So no change there then. Unless there are different editions in different areas I haven't see a report on Saints for some time now in any newspaper (apart from the JPT Final). Outside the top 2 divisions teams don't usually get a more than a passing mention as far as I can see. Indeed the days of reporting on football matches seems to have long since passed, there is nothing in most column inches to suggest "reporters" actually attended a game, but instead they tend to pass comment on what is happening around the team instead. A few more years and most newspapers will be consigned to history with a bit of luck, they no longer serve any useful purpose (now that chip shops don't use them).

Assume that you didn't actually see him play at Wembley then, because he demonstrated (admittedly against England) that he was a very competent defender, especially considering it was his debut. People who take notice of FIFA rankings and make judgements on players based on that really don't understand much about football. Just because he was crap when you saw him does not mean players don't develop. Given some decent coaching (and not the mickey mouse Agents Orange) he has clearly developed to the stage where he plays at the top level in Hungary (Videoton are currently 4th in the League, admittedly after only 2 games) and probably wouldn't be out of place in the Championship. He is also now 25, an age where many central defenders begin to flourish, as they gain experience. No-one is saying the guy is a world beater, but it is quite interesting that a player who looked absolute toilet when he played for us 2 years ago has clearly developed into a player that looked competent on the international stage this week, playing against the best that England has to offer (not forgetting he was subbed before Hungary conceded 2 goals).

Would be quite cool to win it again, get promoted and to remain forever unbeaten in the JPT. A win against Swindon would be nice as well, shut all the farmers up.

Who should we get in as Lambert's back up?
VectisSaint replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
No, he's already signed for Rangers, 2 year deal with option for 3rd -
He made 7 appearances evidently, not sure how many were starts/subs.

I really don't think Markus would be offended by such a thread, he was above all a successful business man, and would have been thinking the same if it had been someone else. The fact of the matter is that Swiss Inheritance Law is very different to what we understand in this country. As of right now the entire Estate is owned fully by his family, in a very tightly defined manner (as I am not sure of his precise family situation I won't add more). Hopefully he will have made provision for what happens next, but it is a matter of fact that it is the family that moves matters forward (it is referred to I believe as "forced heirship"). More information available at http://geneva.angloinfo.com/countries/switzerland/wills.asp RIP Markus.

Joined Jan 2009, brought in by one of the Agents Orange, don't recall which it was, by April he had gone again as his loan was cut short.

Beat me to it, was just posting my condolences on the main thread then was going to post this. Making his full debut, how on earth did we lose a clearly quite good player like this?

Markus Liebherr RIP. All tributes here please.

What a shock, and such sad news, a man that none of us knew, but we all took to our hearts, not just because he saved the club, but because he so clearly loved his football and loved Saints. Following on from the tragic news of Adam Stansfield, this is truly a sad day for real football. A year ago Markus gave me the best birthday present imaginable, difficult to think that 13 months on he is no longer with us. RIP Saint Markus. -
I predict Concrete Cows 1 North of Cowes 3 Prefer to see DC ahead of Barnard if RL is playing. We know DC and RL can work together as they showed early last season.

Why are there tits in this picture?

No it isn't

Agreed, never buy one, hardly ever read one. I assume that number is "per week", so divide by 6 roughly would make sense perhaps.

Is Lallana wearing a hat?
-
He hasn't played as a striker for them for some time. He converted to RB a while ago and that is now his position. Surprised he is not getting booed as a Skate, although in his defence he is a Cowes boy, so probably only played for the Skates under duress :-)

Circulation of the main 11 Dailies was about 10 mill in March. Find it hard to believe though
