Just consider whether you would wear a blue football top in the Saints end, then you will understand.

God, not that old chestnut again, whatever happened to originality

Have we ever beaten a team 4 times this century?
-
Bugger the play-offs, Swindon's equaliser means we can still win the bloody league. Now what did I do with that weed
-
We can still win the League
-
So as things stand thats winning the league out of the window then
-
Apart from the last 3 of course!!

Some people are never satisfied

No, it is better if this fella signs for the opposition...

If you consider a defender old at 30 (31 in May) then I suppose he is old. Personally find that most defenders are coming into their prime in late 20s/early 30s
-
So thats 4 tickets for each of their supporters.

Who is Santa Fe? is he only seen around Christmas?

Isn't it an army in China?

Its always tough living in (near) Swindon. Bit like Pompey but without the charm :-)

Crap day in the office tomorrow then, if we had to be doubled by anyone this season why did it have to be Swindon? Still luckily even in Swindon there aren't many Swindon supporters
-
A clue might be to look at the League Table. They are above us, have more points than us even with 10pt deduction. Simple fact, they are game for game better than us. Why is that so shocking? (OK I know its hard to believe Swindon are better than Saints but thats how it is and why we won't be promoted this season)

The FL is already a shambles, so having npower sponsoring them would be appropriate. Biggest bunch of cowboys, would not touch the thieving bastards with a barge pole, and npower are no better.

So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?

My 3 tix arrived this morning (after I left for work). Block 529. -
Just seeing Mawhinney backing up this vote makes the point that this is crap. I do hope we boo Mawhinney at Wembley. Will it be the Tory **** who will present the trophy? I fecking hope not.
-
No they're not, 1 win in last 4, 0-4 home defeat against the Gas and 1-2 against MK Dons. Lucky to get 1-0 at the Withdean yesterday where Brighton can't win, hardly a great run. Still I also think we will beat Swindon 3-1. It would be good to wipe the smile of the local mongs

Optimism is fine but in reality there isn't a hope in hell of us closing a 16 point gap in 12 games AND for the teams immediately above us also to not be able to take advantage if one of the top 6 does have an absolute nightmare. The final nail in our play-off aspirations disappeared in the mud of St James Park and with the results that went against us that day. To answer the original question posed, who will get promoted, Norwich, Leeds and Millwall. We will finish 7th.
-
No. Simply won't happen. It has been beyond us since the Exeter draw and the way the results went against us that day. We will get close, because we will probaby win most of our games, but it won't happen. I have upped my predicted finish though from 8th to 7th. Of course if I'm wrong I will be delighted

Not quite, its all about winning as many games as possible the rest of this season to get that winning mentality and also winning the JPT. Play-offs are out of the question but the winning mentality thing is vital for next year, we need to show how dominant we can be and put the frighteners on everyone else.

Any feint hopes of the play-offs ended in the mud at St James Park a while back now.

Quite clearly this is not the case. See the mail below which included a reply to an email. The effective number of tickets available was 81k. 7 weeks ago Saints requested 44.5k and Carlisle requested 24.5k. It is actually quite clear to me that Saints have been surprised by the number of tickets they could have sold. It would seem if they had asked for 50k 7 weeks ago they might have been allocated 50k, but hindisght is a wonderful thing. Once allocated plans are put in place and thats where the inflexibility lies. It seems then that there are going to be 12k empty seats that could have been sold if the 2 clubs had requested more. If the final had been against Leeds it is clear that ironically we would have received less tickets, 40.5k max as far as I can see. And to those who speculate why can't Wembley just add some segregation netting read the response again, the issue is that the empty seats are directly ABOVE the Carlisle supporters. Thats the issue, in other words they are concerned that "missiles" can be dropped on the people below, no way to prevent this with the stadium design as is, it seems it is not a problem with the concourses in general but due to the various levels. It is a shame that there will be a large number of empty seats but in my view the reasons are to some extent understandable.
