  1. I see Alex Crook is touting Ralph for Man U on Talksport.
  2. Bloody hell, almost as if the reporter was actually watching the game (unlike Alan Smith or the Boy Lineaker). Whatever next.
  3. Glad someone else saw that I thought perhaps I had dreamed it. Taters tried to claim there was no intent, my arse, Digne had every intention of getting KWP after he had failed to stop him the first time. I suspect the red was actually for the two actions combined, he would probably have got a yellow for the first challenge had play stopped. Digne had the red mist and was going to stop KWP come what may. Should get an extra match suspension for his antics when he left the field.
  4. I suspect Alan Smith (who normally I quite like, mainly because he isn't obsessed by Liverpool) was shocked that he had to pick a Southampton player and realised that he hadn't been watching Saints at all, as he was slobbering over Everton all game. So just tried to remember the name of one of our players. No one had a bad game, but Redmond was probably the worst of a good bunch. Romeu for me (and he didn't even get a yellow card, let alone red).
  5. Thank you Thomas Gradgrind.
  6. I think I'm right in saying that Oriol has never had a red card in the PL for Saints, not even a double yellow. So why is this a nailed on red card game?
  7. Former Bristol City and Watford Academy Coach. Brought in last year by Ross Wilson as assistant to Radhi Jaidi, took over the u23s when Radhi went on his sabbatical.
  8. New posts? Part of Crocker's reorganisation probably.
  9. It only takes an injury or positive.ovid test for either Lewis or Latham to be on the bench. Good to see the club have remembered that Sam McQueen is still on the books.
  10. He didn't, he said he is not so good in the air attacking wise. Vest was stooping and on his knees when he flicked on Walcott's cross/strike. Hardly "in the air".
  11. True, but it was fecking difficult to watch with the (lack of) editing.
  12. Salisu and Diallo are u21. Walcott is in the list, #32, just below Armstrong Squad is threadbare, when you consider how many keepers are there, long term injuries (doubt we will register McQueen, is he really still at the club?). I know we have u21s as well, but still.
  13. Although Armstrong should be back for Everton.
  14. He was on the bench on Friday for Mali v Ghana. Mali have a friendly with Iran tonight (supposedly, some places say it was yesterday). Presumably he is still with the squad for that match.
  15. Apparently he does wear shin pads, but they are kid size. It is compulsory to wear them but there is nothing to say what size they must be. One day he will get kicked and crocked. https://www.90min.com/posts/4380823-the-mystery-of-aston-villa-star-jack-grealish-s-missing-shinpads-explained
  16. Great goal from Ings, assist by Mings, both former Saints youth. They were at Southampton at the same time as youngsters, wonder if they played together during that time (Danny is a year older than Tyrone).
  17. Classic. Never really disliked him 🤣
  18. You are aware of the term "incubation period" presumably. He was in Southampton on Sunday, he almost certainly wouldn't have caught it in Scotland and tested positive before today. That is why the isolation period after a positive test is 10days rather than the 14 days quarantine period.
  19. As long as Stuey doesn't have too much in the way of symptoms he should be fine for Chelsea. The real problem is the rest of the (Saints) squad. Any defined close contacts will need to self isolate for 14 days, given Sunday's match that could be the entire 1st team squad plus staff (worst case scenario).
  20. Geographically we are closer to them than anyone else.
  21. Basically when going forward he would not or could not get his head up to see what was on around him. Obviously several managers hoped or thought they could coach this out of him, but they couldn't, it is his style or a trait. He was extremely skilful, no doubt, but skill is not enough in a team. He was also by far the best of our AMs at defending, certainly better than Redmond or Tadic, but he was here to create and he couldn't. Wish him well, but glad to see him gone, big mistake. He will do OK in a less intense league.
  22. We can still trade with the Football League until October 16th (that is buy, sell and loan). Given we got Adams from the Championship, is there any prospect of any further signings from the EFL? I would imagine we might still move some players to the EFL as well.
  23. Possibly because we weren't actually an option. Although it was touted as us being interested, is there any proof that we actually made a serious offer? Clearly this week he had more than one offer and chose us. What I don't necessarily agree with is all this "homecoming" stuff. We "nicked" him from Swindon, that's why we paid Swindon a (small) consolidation fee when we sold him to Arsenal (seem to recall it was about 10k). I'm quite glad he is back though, he is a decent lad, and has kept his feet on the ground and didn't become a billy big bollocks like some. I hope he still has some pace, and has not lost it like Long clearly has.
  24. What the f does that mean? How can you do 90% of a deal. Its either done or it isn't. Is he having trouble writing the last letter of his name or something?
  25. He got a goal, and it was well taken, but he did not look dangerous, in fact he looked bloody hopeless. Think Ralph was already considering subbing him for Redmond when he scored. I'm sure he will come good, but today apart from that excellent play and finish he looked like he had hardly seen a football before (again) and looked extremely unfit.
