  1. not forgetting Hoedt, Klarer and Ramsay
  2. Just to be clear, this is how Opta calculate possession, and this is used by the PL, Sky, BT Sport, BBC, WhoScored. Its not how other analytical organisations calculate the possession data, such as Squaka, who use the chess clock approach that most naturally would assume the possession metric is based on. Really for Opta to call it "possession" is a misnomer and is misleading if you don't know how it is calculated, but it is a metric.
  3. I hope Leeds come up as well, not sure why Leeds and Boscombe can't both be in the PL. The top flight has never really been fully representative without Dirty Leeds. I will never forgive them for the 7-0, but do feel the league is more proper with then included.
  4. A result can't really be a catalyst. Beats me why people are so loathe to accept the blindingly obvious? If you think that a result is the catalyst for a change then that doesn't say much for the idea of having a manager or management team? Wait for something really bad to happen and then everything will be OK (and anyway the 0-9 wasn't the start of the problem, we had been **** for several weeks before the Leicester trousers job (sorry Trousers).
  5. Maybe it's just that he doesn't know what he is talking about. The bloke is a **** and is only employed by the Beeb for one reason.
  6. Wouldn't be funny at all. Jonnybcome latelies like you might find it funny, but some of us have a long held liking for Boscombe. Trouble is I think they may already be down by then, not looking good. I was sent a programme for a preseason friendly with them yesterday, 1965, we won 3-2, George O'brien scored twice.
  7. Well they are bottom of PL2 Div 1, they were in Div 2 for 2-3 years before, so not sure this is rock bottom (yet)
  8. Getting taken apart unfortunately
  9. Really, **** me, I thought he was still in charge. ?
  10. No disrespect. ?
  11. The Arsenal and Villa games weren't the catalyst, they were the result of whatever was the catalyst. What changed around and after the run culminating in the 9-0? We were bad before the drubbing, the most obvious issue being the lack of defensive organisation. The only conclusion anyone can really come to is that Ralph's management changed, and the clearest outward sign of this is that Kitzbichler who had joined a little before began to have an impact. That doesn't necessarily mean he was directly responsible, but more that Ralph once again had a trusted assistant, a sounding board, able to bounce ideas off, someone to give him more information. Even the fact that he had someone alongside who he could dis uss in his native tongue might have made some difference. Its not rocket science, very few managers are capable of going it alone. By the way Happy Birthday Richard K.
  12. Kitzbichler probably.
  13. Bit like beating Skates. Can score against 3rd level team.
  14. 8 at the moment, though it will be 7 at best after tomorrow's games. Start to think its OK when the gap gets to 10 points.
  15. Lost on aggregate. Great result today.
  16. This. The offside law needs to be changed again (it has been changed often in the past). VAR is not the problem with offside. Offside is the problem
  17. Maddison is fine according to Brenda in his press conference. Took a blow to the head in the Villa game and looked a little groggy, had some tests but is fine and training with the team as normal. Ndidi is indeedy out.
  18. Apparently they are "pleased to report he is living in a care home". Really quite disgraceful "journalism".
  19. You think that's OK?
  20. At least Kane won't be playing.
  21. Pity that we can't keep this as Jimmy Shields related, but the Echo article on George was pulled much earlier today. Either they got it wrong or the family requested its removal.
  22. Think you are misreading the Klarer loan. Exactly what he needs for development. At 19 he is not going to break into our first team for a while. Loans to lower level leagues are designed to toughen him up and experience playing regular competitive football. Obviously going to Austria allows him to be close to family, its not easy for young kids to live so far away from home for so long. Reckon he will be here for a few years yet, maybe in a couple of years we will see him beginning to make inroads to the 1st team.
  23. Down to 10 players again as Barnes is back at Southampton due to injury curtailing his loan to Eastleigh early.
