  1. But Liverpool would have 2 games in hand
  2. As I was saying
  3. A late equaliser for Newcstle would be nice
  4. Let's hope he doesn't play tomorrow as well then.
  5. Thanks. But did he walk off, hobble off, depart on a stretcher?
  6. Anyone any views on the Cedric injury?
  7. Given the way he has been playing its not surprising many people wanted him dropped. Just because eventually does have a good game doesn't mean that their suggestion is stupid.
  8. You just know that is crap, don't you.
  9. Good Post.
  10. OK, I see now. Over 70 are transfers out from the PL to lower leagues.
  11. 90? I only count 13 so far. Where did you find 90?
  12. Didn't seem to be a problem for Danny Ings, Kevin Phillips or even Dennis Wise. Many would relish proving their former club wrong, especially the management of the time.
  13. Possibly because Palace aren't great at home, and we are better away.
  14. It was very clearly 2v2, not 5v2, the other three were racing back because they had been supporting the attack (watch the highlights and listen to Adam/Dave who mention 2v2 a few times). The fault came from giving the ball away by Adams, deep in the Wolves half. So often our problem in the past, midfield/attack give the ball away cheaply and expose the defence.
  15. Nothing wrong with any of the goals, you are kidding. What the hell was PEH doing strolling back into the pen area arm in the air for their 3rd. He could easily have cut out the cut back. As usual our midfield (usually PEH) cost us. The 2nd goal wasn't even a pen according to the ref. When we lose it is usually because the midfield go missing, and so it was again today. Do wish we had someone to replace PEH, he is a complete liability. Still, Wolves are a good side, a point today would have been very good.
  16. It was always going to happen. We have a bad match, Ings doesn't score. All the tarts out on this thread I see, screaming we are crap, so predictable. Before Christmas this would have been expected result, Wolves are very good, just been having a bit of a dip in form. Think we are still not far off being safe.

    Che Adams

You are probably right about the others but the Adams move was not a rumour. Leeds tabled a bid and Saints turned it down.
  18. Crocker is due to join early 2020, thought it was a given that means end January based on notice to FA.
  19. Got the impression that Bertrand was probably going to leave in the Summer. If Leicester are willing to pay a fee for him then that's fine by me. He is past his best and has blown hot and cold for the last couple of seasons. Having a good spell at the moment but not exactly pulling up trees. I thought this was why Ralph was keen to get a LB in now. Shaw is not the answer, as we knew when he left, his fitness always was and remains an issue, we did well at the time getting what we did for him.
  20. So what were these drastic changes that were made between the Leicester and Man City league games? Changing Gunn for McCarthy and dropping Yoshida, would that really be termed drastic? I suppose playing with 11 men instead of 10 could be termed drastic but that was forced on RH not a result of some change of direction.
  21. It is weird, they justify it by saying it means that if one of their analysts (key clickers) misses a pass or two then the possession stats are badly skewed. Can't really see it myself. But what they should do is admit it does not mean possession, which most sane people would see very differently.
  22. Maybe, but you can't just ignore him when listing the CBs we have under contract past the end of this season. The point is whether we will sign a new CB this window, it may happen, but in all likelihood with 6 CBs under contract and 2 out of contract we ain't gonna sign another one. In the Summer, probably we will. CB is not the priority, LB/RB and possibly MF is much more important. We have a settled CB pairing with some backup potential, at the end of the Jan window there will be only 14 league games to go, the need for another CB is really not that great.
  23. No, they meant punctuality and have since corrected it. Not much proof reading done these days by Journos, publish first, sometimes check it later.
  24. He always said he hated training when I heard him. Anyway why is it unfair? Are you a snowflake or something?
  25. Big Ron would have faired very well. He was super fit, and was also very good with the ball at his feet. With the namby pamby boots players wear today he would have jumped even higher than he did and his bullet headers with the old leather balls would be unstoppable with the bits of plastic used today. Don't think big defenders are an issue nowadays, most PL don't see the need, obviously one or two exceptions. Not sure about MLT, can't see how he would have made it even into an Academy, let alone in the PL with his fitness issues. But maybe with the right training methods he could have overcome his natural deficiencies, but his loathing of training might suggest otherwise.
