In a nutshell this Nothing is going to happen until after the WC anyway so i'd just sit back and wait. I've said this before but if players get a chance to earn big money and play Champions League they are going to take it, it's no refection on the club 'not showing ambition' or whatever and you cant blame players for wanting to play at the top level. You and I and every other forum mong would do exactly the same in their position. What Poch may want assurances on, is that if players do go for big money, how much will he have of that to re-invest

True but if IIRC the Arse played 4-2-3-1vs Hull with Flamini and Ramsey as the 2 with Ramsey given license to get forward, much as Jack did today with VW sitting. Much as say Toure has done all year for ManCity. Don't get me wrong I think he has been terrific this year and hasn't been asked to get forward as much but if he was I'm not sure it's his natural game and he's not a pure DM as someone like a VW or a Matic I guess all I'm saying is if he could get a few goals in his game he really would be a top drawer player
-
If you watch him live the amount of work he does, pressing, chasing, covering he must do well over 10km a game and allows the others to play. Always in space. Another like Cork that if his end product and goal tally was better would be high class player but in our system I suspect he's one of the first on MPs team sheet
-
If only he could add finishing to his game like say a Ramsey or a Henderson he'd be a top top player. Until he gets that goalscoring edge though it's hard to put him in that top bracket. Hopefully a bit of work and it will come, playing next to VW and being able to get forward more will help

This. A fit VW just makes us a FAR better team, he is a beast in the middle, totally took Barry/McCarthy out of the game. MS and JC are boih great players but both are better with someone like VW next to them. Cork was magic today but he couldn't have had that space if Morgan was next to him. yet another big shout for Davies, he's been exceptional this season. if you get a chance watch him live and the work he does

Funny how people see football different ways. I think VW is essential in the way we play hence why we have got battered so many second halves when he hasn't been there. He is so strong, breaks up play, he was a beast in there today against one of the best CM partnerships this season in Barry/McCarthy. What I will say is Cork has really come on this season to the point where he is almost ahead of Morgan on current form. It's a great dilemna to have but i've said before it is NO coincidence where we start of the season when he was playing. Far too many people see pretty passes as the be all and end all, he offers our team a defensive solidity the others dont

Thought Wanyama was excellent that half as well, we look so much more solid when he plays. Think Lallana is still a bit off. Lambert and Gallagher doing well, SRL looks good in that no.10 role

On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with saints at the moment?

This. Great post -
If Lallana has a good WC he'll have his pick of CL clubs, at his best this year he's been right up there with the top class AMs in the PL like Silva, Hazard, Eriksen etc
-
If MoPo did go i would hope we'd try and be progressive and go for a manager who the players could continue to work with - not one of the old breed like Moyes, Allardyce, Hughes etc whose teams play one way
-
At the start of the season when fit, VW was superb, i remember him away at Lpool and ManU breaking up attack after attack. And Merson on SS raving about him. We were hardly conceding. Different player entirely to Cork but you cant argue he didnt solidify the midfield There were games this season when we fell apart in midfield in the second half of games (Chelsea, Spurs, Lpool etc) when you really wonder if he could have made a difference

Give Celtic credit, they seem to be able to find good players abroad at relatively low prices, not sure how good this lad is?

5 days ago : Tells me about her sister or dad or whoever coming over at some point in the next few days - right in the middle of the football. Rather than one clear simple statement of fact this is said in about 500 words.Mumbled yes but wasn't really listening 5 days - 1 day ago: Tells me a hundred other things about whats happening, coming up, where the kids need to be, jobs i need to do etc Today: Asks me if i remember who is coming over and at what time. I have absolutely no idea so have to try and blag. She gets humpty Repeat this constantly for 15 years

CONFIRMED: Rodriguez ruptures ACL - out for SIX months
JoeShmoe replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Poor lad, just as his career was really taking off Hope he makes a full recovery and we see him back around October-November time all being well -
Vince off to a flyer :-(, know he gets a lot of press as a young player but I just don't see a test player there yet. He wouldn't last 5 minutes against a proper quick with his technique

Stekelenburg for me, or Ruddy

This. The game isn't slowed, the ref asks a clear question and the game carries on. It would add entertainment to the game, not take it away. With all the money in the game now it's wholly unfair ( and repetitively boring) that every Sunday/Monday morning it's always about the referee. I'd bet fans in other countries would say exactly the same

Looking at it real time i was thinking will he back for start of next season, never mind the WC Sickening for him and the other players as they will miss him #PrayForJay

#PrayForJay Couldnt really give a **** about this game now

did you see it, he knew right away
