Some of the bed wetting going on is hard to believe, even Barry wasn't this bad We have lost a manager and sold one player, an ageing CF who would have had reduced playing time next year anyway, as he did last year. We have turned down bids for others We are yet to appoint a new manager or know what funds he has. For all we know it will be a star name with 30m to spend If Lallana and Shaw want to play CL football we can't stop them (no team could including spurs, Everton etc) We have a superb academy and a team full of quality players some of whom will improve (VW, Chambers, Gallagher, Ramirez etc) and yet people are bleating on like we are going to league 2 by Christmas Doing my head in, get a grip FFS and have some patience , season doesn't start for months and we all have no idea that the owner and the board don't have big plans. as phil says, Krueger hasn't come here to be a muppet Let's back the club and have some faith , COYS

Agree with this but you don't do this now (before the WC) and not after what RK just said as it makes him and the board look even more like a set of mugs than they do already Having said that he was struggling anyway last season so to get 4m or whatever for him to sit on the bench at Anfield is good business Whatever happens he deserves to be treated as a legend at this club

Anyone know any good Excel spreadsheets that could do a WC predictor game? So you enter your scores, it shows the knockout games etc, manages a number of people and then updates as you add the scores etc during the tournament? It's odd in some ways as there are clubs where Shaw and Lallana would never have got a look in (mancity , Chelsea etc) and we could argue they only played as we were in the lower leagues so given these lads have come through the same academy system who's to know if they aren't as good? From people who have seen Targett I've read he's a carbon copy of Shaw albeit more raw ( as Shaw was before he played games ) and Sims is well ahead of where Lallana was at that age
