Said hooper was unlikely, made a good offer that was rejected and that we had tadanari lee on the way who will be exciting. Made the point that we are top scorers in the division and questioned whether we would need another striker.

I think we perhaps choose Lee as a Lambert back-up over someone like Jutkiewicz, but are still after another striker to go alongside Lambert.

I'd bid up to £4.5m for Sordell and £1.5m for a winger to improve quality of starting 11, and then get Lee and maybe a defender to add squad depth.

I can't see us going back in for Sharp, after the deal didn't happen in the summer. Cortese seems too stubborn.

I hope we sign either Maynard, Sharp or Rhodes. But wouldn't pay more than £4mill for any of them.
