I don't think this is correct, will confirm over the weekend. A good friend of mine is friends with the couple who sold the house.

The starting eleven isn't anywhere near as good as the starting eleven that finished second 18 months ago. Alonso was key to their play, Mascherano made Carragher look half decent and Arbeloa was a class above Johnson. Then there is also the general decline of Gerrard, Torres and Carragher.

He took most of our set pieces for about a 5-6 month period. First ten games where Lallana = very poor service, then up until January it was Lloyd James = half decent set pieces, then he was out injured for the rest of the season. Lets not forget he also got a couple of very important goals, the first against Exeter and equaliser against Brentford. Shame he got injured in that match when he was just starting to get a run of games in the middle. He wasn't perfect by any means, too slow and not really tall enough to dominate wingers/strikers, but he gets far too much stick on here which IMO is down to the fact he's an easy target after the Dutch era...

He's far too similar to Schneiderlin, just older and not quite as good as Morgan. I have never really understood why we have persisted in playing two defensive midfielders, what I find ever more strange are the ammount of people I speak to who seem to think we lack a defensive midfielder to play alongside them both?! odd.

Bossing games and not scoring is a worry, was under Pardew at the start of the season and still is now under Adkins.

Sadly he will get boo'd tomorrow if he does come on, because the majority of our fanbase is too fickle to actually realise when a player is giving a 100% for the shirt. He was never anywhere near as bad as people made out either, considering the options we have at the moment I would much rather we kept him for another season.
