See how the table looks in Feb, too early to say. Wasn't too long ago we were unbeaten for a while.

Looks like Saints having another great December....
-
Stoke and Man City games he made some good important saves. It was just a bad night all round. How we react against Villa is more important than finger pointing at certain players after that mess on Weds.

*rough cheaper fee

I would expect the club to have a replacement lined up for a rough fee before selling. As was the case when selling Clyne, Shaw, Morgan...

Southampton to launch major US coaching initiative

No money to be made out here. Jeez even when Foxtel lost all the live broadcasting rights for the Prem, they just shrugged their shoulders and called us all insomniacs! -
Think he was planned to be used more during the Euro games, before we made our quick exit, along with Caulker. These players were brought in to give us depth for the extra games, which are now now there imo.

Yeah I don't play offline too much, do run about online for an hour or so ever other week. Still good value.

Mané on ten-man shortlist for CAF African Player of the Year
skintsaint replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Yeah he scored a pen last week which will nail it. Other than that he has had a quiet year from memory. -
See, most of us watching the game last weekend thought it wasn't a yellow card. It was an innocuous tackle in the opponents half, but due to the Chelsea players all surrounded the ref waving 'imaginary cards' about people thought it was worse than it was. I'm sure Fifa or Uefa tried to get the rule about arguing with the ref and the ball was moved 10 yards forward going, whatever happened to that? Maybe we can adopt the NFL hankies and throw one on the pitch if the team wants a review of the decision once the ball is out of play.

I thought that was Davis, but anyway was a big LOL moment that free kick. Then the whinging afterwards topped it up.

Must have watched a different game to me, thought he played well with lots of clearances/tackles in that midfield. One of the reasons Bournemouth didn't create too much was the midfield shielding the defence. Thought his first yellow wasn't even a foul. For the 2nd someone had to have a go at tackling the bloke, it all stemmed from Romeu making a bad mistake and getting caught trying to cut a pass by running forward but didn't, then the geezer ran past Yoshi I think it was, and was getting into a decent shooting area. It was a booking but wasn't too far off being a great tackle. As someone else says thats his job and he will pick up yellows. Was surprised to see that it was his first red for us. Gives Romeu a chance to step up next week, good that we have a bit of depth these days. Least season it would have involved putting Toby in the middle.

Didn't think it deserved a booking anyway, think the crowd going mad and Chelsea players getting involved made it look worse. Normally a nothing foul on the halfway line.

fookin depressing reading some of this cack. England 100% record in qualifiers still not good enough, yet people know we aren't the best, whilst also spouting that our players are ****e compared to other 'top nations'. Can't win either way. No doubt that if we win the Euros (i know its very very doubtful) these same mugs will lap it all in, although they were not really supporting the nation team at all due in the qualifiers due to them being 'boring' over the last few years. Could be worse, Aussies lost to the giants of Jordan in a qualifier the other day, if only we had their 'passion' they show during the finals ...

So they have appointed the German Brendon Rodgers. Congrats.
-
Normally at 3-1 with 15mins to go away from home we make it real nervous but closed out the game with relative ease. Shame its now a break before a game against a decent Leicester team. Oh, and this made me laugh!
-
The Asians will lap it up, well I hope its for the Asia market anyway! If not, jeez.
-
Probably due to the fact that half decent CCC players cost north of eight million quid these days..
-
Our next 20m+ player IMO. Looks technically great, think we are just bedding him in, plus we have a decent amount of talent up front at the moment making it hard for him to make the break.

Still amazes me in this day and age people think a player is 'free'. Players like this are on huge money and are certainly not free. As someone else has alluded, the sign on fees are huge. Thanks Mr Bosman.
