Just seen that Wolves pen...so these days players can just run/spin on the ball, hit defenders and fall down? Thats three over the last week (inc JWP)...

Seeing as the reported fee for Ben Godfrey is 50m quid...then probably can't afford any of the decent younger players!

In their careers so far...Ings has taken 8 in his career and missed 2. JWP taken 7....and now missed 2.

sold!

It was just one of those games for us where they couldn't put the ball in the net, another day they would have had at least 3 with the chances we presented them......

Impressive dugout.

Can't see any confirmation from Rennes at this stage...so guess its wait and see.

Always happens with players who hit penalties hard, some tend to rise.....will be surprising if Ings wouldn't be taking them from now on when in his form.

Starting to win me over each passing game, hopefully not a player just trying to win a contract to then go off the boil. As someone said..defensive positioning needs work but that should come over time. Grab him for under 14m and will be decent enough.

Annoyingly should have won but a tough run of games so can excuse so leggy players. Bodes well for next season where the games won't come so thick and fast and with hopefully some decent additions to the squad.

They are on a roll and that Greenwood fella looks an amazing finisher. Will have to play bloody well with tired legs to get anything from this, especially when they can foul opposition players to win penalties. Think we can sneak a draw at best...2-2.

Great, now I'm hungry even though I've not had fast food in years 😕

the game is annoying...the kit isn't great is it 😕

Hopefully gets that England cap and plays well, can then flog him for an overinflated price like what happened with Maguire after the WC.... and get some quality replacements in.

http://www.toffeetalk.com/topic/29882-soton-home-thursday-july-9th/ They are not feeling too confident...which means one thing :/

Iced Coffee I shouldn't like it but I do and that annoys me....and its full of crap thats not great for you.

Looks like a Boufal....but better in the air.

Would be horrified if we brought in another first team keeper with 3 on the books already.

True...but the first error was very horrible even against Man City....😆

https://www.footballfancast.com/premier-league/southampton/southampton-hasenhuttl-watkins-saints-brentford-bees-transfer-analysis Been linked with him for a while. Don't know much about him but seems to be well regarded.

I know we beat City etc etc, but two horrible bits of defending by him...first casually/stupidly laying the ball to their player on the edge of the box to strike and hit the post, 2nd time was he was covering Silva but decided to leave him space for some reason by running out to the flank, Silva span in the box and have a run at goal but denied by a good save. If they had both gone in the opinion would have been much different I'm sure lol. We got away with them yesterday. The rest of his game looked alright tbh.

Anything over the value we sold Targett for would be disappointing. Hopefully a good deal for us from Spurs for once!

Seems to be over his injuries and confidence is back in his body to perform like this. Good to see.

Don't sell him cheap, KWP not worth that much...20m + KWP if we need to.

Could prob get 8m or so for him if Fulham get promoted. Maybe he has impressed RH though on loan and could be involved next season though. Knowing us we will just loan him out again for a full season.
