    Euro 2016

Glad I got up at 3am to watch that ****e on a school night, really struggling at the back end of my work day now.
  4. 32m is a good price for him, wasn't amazing last season but had a few good spells. Tricky to play against and good against an opposition that pushed high up the pitch. Will miss him as a Saints player but as long as the money comes back as investment into capable players for our first XI I wouldn't mind.
  5. You could even argue that LvG would be a better fit, after all he did blood a number of academy players at Utd. *I'm not suggesting I would want LvG though*
  6. http://www.thisisanfield.com/2016/03/filip-kostic-scouting-stuttgart-winger-liverpools-summer-radar/ Good report on Kostic, would be a record purchase by sounds of things...
  7. No, we have JRod keeping the Physio busy at the moment!
  8. 7 Clubs managed in 15 years. Looks ideal for us in that respect - 2 years service
  9. Would Laurent Blanc too ambitious for us? Has a great record in Ligue 1, even with Bordeaux and think he done well in Europe with them also?
  10. Any particular reason why he suggests that?
  11. I'm guessing the 5m compensation is including all the backroom staff going with him. Shame he is leaving, but seeing as we nearly sacked him at one point allegedly last season, before hitting a purple patch at the end of the year, I'm pretty confident of the replacement carrying on the job just as well. Won't miss his weird subs when chasing a game either.
  12. But his agent Mino Raiola has revealed that the 34-year-old has plenty of offers and that a move to United is far from a done deal. Raoila told Swedish paper Expressen: "We have not decided anything yet. I think it will be a surprise in the end. Its still on!

  15. Jones was good for us at the time for the size of our club but was prone to some real shockers!
  16. Carrick & Lampard. Can't wait, shame its not 2005.
  17. Not sure we can pluck players from Wolfsburg, but if we were going for anyone from there I'd take Draxler, Schurrle, Rodriguez or Gustavo before Dost.
  18. Loan him out for a season or two before dispensing with him would be better as he is still a young player, as long as Sociedad cover the wages it can't do us any harm.
  19. Actually De Vrij might not be someone to go after, just read this: Did you know? With a number of De Vrij’s compatriots currently plying their trade in England, the 23-year-old wouldn't be short of options if he wishes to join them for a bowl of bitterballen. Ronald Koeman, however, is one man the defender will presumably be in no rush to exchange pleasantries with. The pair dramatically fell out when the Southampton manager was in charge of Feyenoord in 2013. After De Vrij was found to have been participating in individual training sessions without the club’s permission, he was stripped of the captaincy and heavily reprimanded by his boss in private. As scandals go, additional training ranks below even the occasional inhalation of legal nitrous oxide by teenagers, but Koeman was adamant and the armband was handed to Graziano Pelle.
  20. Jaanmat would be a good addition at Right Back. See that Juve are after him though so might be a stretch to get him. Redmond could also be worth a punt from Norwich. Maybe a move for De Vrij from Lazio? Might cost a packet though.
  21. Great result, coupled with the Hammers blowing it away to Stoke. Always liked Stoke.. Thought we were pretty average till we got the first goal, then went to bits again when Puncheon scored his cracker of a goal. One we got the third I thought we might have maybe got five or six as Palace gave up it seemed to me, maybe started to self-preserve for the Cup final. Bertrand was great, if we can get a similar style player on the right we would improve massively. I think Martina is a limited full back but saying that he still gets his fair share of assists, which is why if we buy a better player for this position it would improve us a lot. Austin, if we can get him fit along with Jrod would be an asset, had some good movement off the ball but looked rusty on it. Fingers crossed the Bournemouth can do us a favour for a 5th placed finish.
  22. Would love to finish above the Hammers, the way the press been all over them this season.
  23. I'm in this boat, a lot of good managers around at the moment I'm sure we would be able to get in as a replacement. Would rather RK stayed though, save a lot of time fannying around looking for a new manager/backroom team.
  24. Jordan Pickford. Will be a future England squad regular. Might cost at least 5m though.
