  1. They are. The Red Bull thing is a mixture of a wind up and desperation.
  2. I'm looking forward to GM's sequel, "The Egg on Face Thread"
  3. Just one question Steve. After Red Bull take over, are they finally going to get round to ratifying Carsten Janker's transfer? If this happens I will streak around Fratton Park on a match day in front of both Pompey fans.
  4. Red Bull are Austrian, although they could be fronted by the Swiss as discussed on another fred. Would be far too good to be true. P.S. That's a crap source, I wouldn't read much into it.
  5. I am possitive Matt has always acted in, what was in his oppinion, the bennefit of the club. I also feel his has been mislead like the rest of us by this pinnacle group. Any group who pull out over something as trivial as a ten point deduction really are not serious about Saints long term prospects. I cannot believe Matt would have lent his name to this bid had he known this was the case at the start. I hope the Toblerone basher take us over and appoint MLT as chairman. There is no stain on his integrity in my eyes.
  6. See sticky thread.
  7. Sir Alan Sugar Roman Abramovic Igor Surkis (Dynamo Kyiv chairman) Rachel Stevens Sasha Gaydamak Sasha Baren Cohen Steven Spielbeg Natalie Portman Jesus Michael Fialka these are the Jewish people I know of. How many of them are involved in the consortium I do not know.
  8. I don't get people wanting to keep Euell. 5 goals in 65 appearances and he just looked like a complete cart horse in all but 5 games of each of his 2 seasons at Saints. If we are going to cut the crap and rebuild, there are some players we need to get rid of. Euell and BWP are two of them.
  9. What he said. DMG wanting to go back to Notts was the worst kept secret at the club, and that's up against some pretty stiff competition.

    The Swiss?

Sorry, that should have read: "My lips are sealed" :smt098\\:D/:partyman::snipe::smt058:smt102

    The Swiss?

    My lips are sealed.
  12. What they said.
  13. I read this bit as "Ian Huntley" for some reason. Other than Real Madrid who seem bent on buying everyone in Europe, no.
  14. Probably best you don't go on that show.
  15. Looks like a fish up a tree.
  16. Robertson looked like a giraffe on crack whenever I saw him play. One goal in 10 appearances. A cracking goal, but let's be honnest it was a speculative effort when he hit it. Hasn't played since he returned to the Blades either.
  17. If Rasiak, Saga and Lallana stayed, there's three decent and varied strikers right there. To complete the line-up you'd need a big lump IMO.Lallana is not a winger, but I think would be an excellent striker dropping deeper in a 4-4-2 formation, feeding of Rasiak or Lump. Ditto Saga. The brilliant* thing about DMG leaving of course is that now we can make as many outrageous claims as we want about how many goals he would have scored in League 1 and never be proved wrong. Personally I'd have said 20 was the upper limit of what he was capable of. *This word may contain traces of sarcasm.

    Stern Gone?

Has anyone seem John back in preseason training at all, or are we to now assume he has gone? I just wondered as I know his contract expires this summer, but unlike Rasiak, I haven't seen any reference to him on the OS. I'm 99% sure he will leave, just wondered if anyone can confirm it.
  19. We, at time of writing, still have Surman, Lallana, Gillett and James, who were regulars last season. Also the £1m should keep us afloat for another month or so. We certainly wouldn't have got £1m for any of the players in our squad who didn't come through the accademy.
  20. Don't be stupid, it means at least one million. Yen. Well, since we're in the process of blaming/thanking people who, at the time of writing have absolutely no control over finances and the running of the club... Thanks Mr T
  21. I don't get this attitude of wanting rid of players who blatently arren't sh*t. I'm refering to players like Surman and Saganowski who've shown in the past that they were amongst the best players in CCC on their day. Rather than building the team around them and trying to get the best out of them, most people just seem to want rid. It's like there's some kind of guarantee that if you get rid of a player who isn't performing, we will definitely bring in someone much better. In reality we just end up with gash like Wotton, Schneiderlin and Robertson.
  22. Ah, that's disappointing. It would have been interesting to see if he could have 'done a Fryatt' in L1. Seven figure sum confirmed though, that's pretty decent money. I just hope we get a decent manager who will invest it wisely, assuming we put it back into the squad as and when takeovers/missing wages are sorted. All the best DMG if you happen to read this. Hopefully he can do the Saints accademy proud, like Theo, Bale, Beatts and Bridge.
  23. I'm fairly sure DMG wouldn't draw a £2m fee if we were in the Prem and owned by Bill Gates, so I don't think that's entirely the situation. £500k for Surman is very poor money, especially given that he got 7 goals from midfield last season. We got more than that in tribunal fees when Leon Best left on a Bosman. Hope they both stay, especially Surman, although there are going to be tempting offers out there.

    The Swiss?

I think, just maybe, some people are taking the p*ss. I'm sure most people realise there is more to these toblerone bashers than just clocks and pen knives. The sounds of music, was that Austria or Switzerland? Perhaps the Trapp family are going to take us over...
